It's never too early....WHO'S GOING DURING 12/04???

YEAH!!! We are going in December!!!! 12-26 thru 1-2 for us! We've always gone in the summer. I am excited about the holidays! It's a surprise trip/Christmas present for our kids and bringing my parents for their FIRST trip ever!!! I am sooooo nervous about the crowds thou! We are used to it being crowded being that we go in summer but I am having trouble figuring which park which day. I signed up for TGM and he has last years days of when to go to which park but now that Christmas is on a Sat I DON'T KNOW WHICH PARK TO PLAN WHICH DAY!!!!! I emailed TGM 2 weeks ago and haven't gotten a response. I know he is recommended to follow his plans for the parks but he doesn't have them listed for this year and I want to make my itinerary so I can schedule PS's!
UGH! ANyone have any input on this week? We also are going to Universal and I can't decide wether we should spend New Years Eve at WDW or Universal with our kids ages 12, 6, 6, and 4. Whatca think!

TIA!

Sarah

I am so glad I saw this i am on here everyday and this is the first I saw the Dec post! I felt like I was the only one planning for DEC!:grouphug:

I'm afraid I can't help you on which parks on which days around Christmas time as I've never toured around a Holiday like that. But I do find it interesting that you wrote TGM several weeks ago and have not had a response. I was thinking of using his website for my trip planning but if that's the kind of untimely feedback he gives, I think I'll save the money.

I think most of the information can be found for free on wonderful boards such as this one.

Bought MVMCP tickets this past Friday for 12/5!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc Cannot wait to receive them in the mail :hyper: Getting ready to do the under-200 dance in a few LONG days!

ETA: My itinerary is as follows, for those who asked:

Dates: 12/2-12/7

Day One (Arrival): Easy day; hangin' by the pool, checking out the Boardwalk and Downtown Disney.

Day Two: EPCOT; Candlelight Processional

Day Three: Animal Kingdom; Dinner at Rainforest Cafe (DD); Cirque du Soleil and dessert at Ghirardelli's.

Day Four: Magic Kingdom; PS for Liberty Tree Tavern; Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Day Five: Disney-MGM Studios; Fantasmic!; early return to hotel

Day Six (Departure): Typhoon Lagoon or a round of mini golf, depending on weather.

We will be there 11/27 - 12/4. We have yet to decide which day to go to MVMCP. It will be 18months between trips the longest in years. Can't wait.

sunkissed... Your itinerary looks good! I sure hope you are right about the weather for your pool and TL days! When we went after Thanksgiving last year, before and after our cruise, it was absolutely FREEZING! Maybe we'll get lucky this year! ;)

Add us to the list as well! (Did I already answer this thread? LOL.. oh well!)

WE'll be there from 12/4- 12/10. Can't wait! I'm already knee deep in planning.. you should see my desk! My friends keep teasing me because everywhere I go, my Disney book is right there with me! I'll be leaving soon to take my daughter to her dance class, and yes, Mini Mickey will come too! LOL

Wooohooo! We (me, DW, 2 kids) are going to be in the World Dec 6 - 18 for some holiday fun. Looking forward to seeing all of the decorations--we've all been numerous times but never during December.
Still debating about rather or not the MVMCP is worth the extra money. Thoughts? What all is included?

Me too, Me too.

Our family will be arriving on December 6th - the 10th at the SOG resort (hopefully it's running smoother then people have stated)

we are also going to try to do the MVMCP

So far I've decided on

M - Check in / Chef mickeys

T - Animal Kingdom

W - Magic Kingdom

TH - MGM / MVMCP

F- Epcot

I hope this works I've changed it about 100x's now...... I can't wait :bounce:

Grasshoppa,
IMHO, MVMCP is well worth the money for a family of four. In early December, there are few chances to actually be in MK at night since hours generally run until around 6 or 7 p.m. I think just seeing the park all lit up at night alone is worth it, but there is more!
Almost every attraction is open, there is "snow" on Main Street, shows, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade, Wishes, hot chocolate and cookies, Santa, and family photos, all included in the admission price.
If this helps any, I'm trying to find a way now to fit two parties into my vacation instead of one!

LOL! We are from upstate NY, so we're used to "freezing". I do hope the weather holds out, but if not, we have the UPH and can always check out DisneyQuest (my plan B).

We're from a little further north yet (actually just west of us had snow again yesterday). We also use your plan B for cold or rainy days - DQ is awesome, our kids love it and have no problem spending the day there. Plan C is the outlet malls-all of us females would rather do that than DQ anyday!

Well, we will be there on the 31st of December until the 8th of January 2005. I can't wait, but there is so much going on between now and then that time will just fly.

OMG! Am I the only one crazy enough to go the week after Christmas!!!:earseek:

I'll be there from Dec. 18-27th. So just a few days of overlap. But trust me, you will not have the parks to yourself.....:p :p  :)

We'll be there 12/4- 12/9 (possible til 12/11 we haven't decided for sure.
We are staying at POP. It will be our DD 1st trip to the World. My DH and I were there in September 1999, so it is almost like going for the first time, and we have never been in December so we are excited. We have tickets for MVMCP on Dec. 5.

:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

BF and I will be there Dec. 3 through 11, but will only be in the parks the 4th-10th.

It's BF's first visit, he is almost more excited than I am! When I told him we will see the fire works over the Castle, he got this little boy look on his face and said "We get to see that?! I've only seen that on t.v. and we get to see that in person?!" And I haven't told him about about Spectro yet...or Fantasia or IllumiNations...

As an extra surprise, I'm getting him the rookie experiance for Richard Petty. He's a huge NASCAR fan and will get to drive 8 laps in a stock car. If he's excited about fireworks, I can't wait to see his face when we get to the raceway!!!

In 13 more days I can get my counter!!

I am NOT going to get it until 200 days out:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Oh why not? I've had my counter since 443 days out. I'm managing just fine. I'm just spending hours and hours each day looking at airfare from Tulsa to Orlando trying to get something relatively cheap. So far, no luck.
