hey everyone, for those of you who have been following along, you may remember that I mentioned last week that I got some good news about going back to work with the company that laid me off before months end, well... I went and had lunch with my manager yesterday, and the time line of me going back has changed!!! Now we are looking at November!!! Ugh!!! I am so upset!!! I'm a nervous wreck... To the point I gave myself a killer migraine and couldn't even take the covers off my head last night, and to top it off, b/c I'm a bundle of nerves, I could not sleep either!!! I finally gave up and got out of bed a little before five in the morn!!!
I just feel so down on my luck right now!!! I busted my butt to get to where I am today and this whole situation just stinks!!! Got to have faith that things will get better!!!
And, at least I have a Disney trip to look forward to!!!
Ok, so now that my rant is over, I was finally able to pin down all the stuff that I need to do before the trip!! Here it goes... Let me know if I'm forgetting anything. I'm sure I am... My mind is wandering in a 1000+ directions at the moment!!!
This Weekend:
~Need to pick up a bridal shower gift and card
~grab a few more Disney $$$ for the trip at
Disney Store
~Need to make pasta salad for labor day BBQ (why I volunteered to make this I have absolutely no clue!!! I don't even have the foggiest idea how to even make it!!
)
~Labor Day BBQ at friends house on Sunday
Next Week (w/o 9/7)
~Devon has soccer practice on Tuesday and Thursday night
~Get Devon all ready for his first day of 2nd grade!!
~Devon's first day of School is on Wed 9/9
~Back to school night at Devon's School Thursday 9/10 @ 6p... Here I will talk to Dev's teacher about him missing school and see about getting any missed assignments.
~Mail the Disney Letter I had made for Devon from Goofy telling him to come trick or treat with him
~One night this week we will do our Disney movie night!! And this time we will really watch the Incredibles!!
~Make hair appointment (need my hair cut and maybe highlight before we leave)
~Buy any last minute things I need for trip
~Bridal shower Sunday 9/13... Not happy with the fact it is at the same time as the Eagles first regular season game!!!
~do online check-in with Disney first thing Sunday morning 9/13
Week of 9/14
~Devon has soccer practice on Tuesday and Thursday night
~Get Devon's hair cut and I will get my hair did one of the days this week as well!
~load ipod and iphone with new music and movies!
~Empty camera memory cards and upload pictures to computer
~Last Disney Movie Night!!! Little Mermaid
~Clean house of Friday
~Do all wash on Friday
~Pull out luggage
~Clean out the trunk of my car so that our luggage will fit in there!!! I have so much pool and beach crap in my trunk right now it should be a sin!!! My brother is just going to drive my car to the airport so we don't have to take all the luggage out and put it in his car.
Day before we leave:
~Start to pack all checked and carry-on bags
~Iron all clothes that are coming with us and that we are wearing the next day
~Go to credit union to w/d $$$ for trip
~Check-in with airline and print boarding passes
~Stop down mom and dads to say bye since they will not be home from work when we have to leave for the airport the next day.
~Verify the time we are leaving to go to the airport with my brother Johnny to make sure he is ready!
~drop off house keep to my cousin Dan, he is getting the mail for us while we are gone.
Day of trip:
~Take Devon to school!! Poor kid, he's going to be jumping out of his skin sitting in school all day!
~ Stop at the bank to get change for larger bills ($1, $5, $10)
~Shower and be ready t go
~Pack any and all last minute things including boarding passes, trip docs and grab the disney $$$
~Mani and Pedi for me!!!
~do a last minute straighten up around the house
~Pick Devon up from school bus stop @ 3:15p
~Head home and feed Devon his after school snack! I swear the boy comes home from school starving everyday! You would think I don't pack the kid a lunch!
~Get Dev out of his school clothes and into his travel outfit
~Unload Devon's school bag of school supplies and pack all his travel gear
~Take out the trash
~load suitcases into the car
~Pick up judy by 4:40p
~Head to mom and dad's so Johnny can drive up to the airport. Be on the road by 5p
~Expect to be a PHL bu 5:15p, could be sooner in there is no traffic
~Hoping to do curb side check in
~ Go thru security and then grab a bite to eat before departure
~ last minute bathroom stop before we board
Think that about covers it!! Or, at least I hope it does!!
I was watching the news yesterday, and it does look like it is suppose to get hotter again after this weekend thou! 
too. dh and I have off the friday before we leave. We are sending the kids to daycare. (the horrible parents we are). The oil company is coming to do our yearly maintenance so dh will need to be home for that. I think I will go in the morning and get a pedi. I havent done this in like 3 years so I def. deserve it. Good thinking. Sorry to hear about your job. things will eventually get better hang in there. Disney will cheer you up.
No biggie I guess, but that was going to be my last trip to the mall before we leave!!! Guess I will just make a pit stop when I go to get my hair done next week since the mall is right up the street!
