It's MY Birthday!!!(Sooo, I wanna eat 'n eat,...until I die.) COMPLETED

Gee, it couldn't have been Mouse Gears, could it? :rotfl:
ummm...I don't think so this time...something to do with porcelain...but they took a while getting to LeCellier...so something tells me MG was visited.

Refills? Nate, I think you're on to something there... ::yes::
LeCellier...Family style!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

That's awesome!
People Bowing...Presidential Treatment...Vacations...sounds like someone I know??? :confused3

Always a sad day. Not just because you're leaving, but because you have to figure out how to pack all this peanut butter stuff you just bought. Luckily you had the van - those who fly have a much harder time.
Well tomorrow is the last day...and we had no room for clothes in my suitcase...taken over for merchendise...and 50% of Mel's...and one more day to go.

Do not mock the cheese!
Hear it's good stuff...but would just get in the way of the steak.

How the heck did I miss THREE updates? I know I've been busy on mine and watching Rosie's, but THREE???

First, I have my BFF Nicki as the Food Porn Queen of the DIS and you are definitely the HM Porn King of the DIS. I am simply amazed by the number of HM's you find.

Your pictures are great as always. What's with the girl on Primevil Whirl with the boys? I think that is very unDisnelylike faces on her.

I still crack up every time you head somewhere and Mel heads to the nearest gift shop.

I am SO happy you got into LeCellier. I love that place and was really sorry we decided to skip it this year (I always get the filet with the mashed potatos, the cheddar cheese soup and the Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey cake). :worship:

It's the Voices of Liberty singers and they are spectacular...we missed them on this trip (we missed a lot on this trip).

We've not done AstroOrbiter in years. I forgot how awesome it looks from up there at night (have to put that on the to do list next year).

Glad you enjoyed LTT. We've done lunch there and loved it (we haven't done dinner and unless Mark goes alone we won't...I'm not a big "Thanksgiving food" type of person).

I think allot of people have missed my updates...or I' getting boring??? :confused3 but then I'm a (HM) Porn Star now...cool I can't be all that bad...:banana::banana:

I personally think that maybe Tiny played with some real poo over at Rafiki's... :lmao:

Astro Orbiter was a first ever for me and family...and now that I've done it at night...don't think I'd ever do it any other time...that being said I'd only go for the view...for the "round and round/up and down" type rides...I believe the Carpets over in Adventureland are the best.

LTT rocks...that's my type of food in my portion size...never ending....us Porn Kings need our energy. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Just catching up now...

Awesome job getting into Le Cellier! :thumbsup2 I'm glad you enjoyed the meal. Still our favorite place to eat at WDW. But I'm with Barry--the cheese soup is terrific. You don't have to worry about it getting in the way of the steak--remember, on vacation, extra calories don't count.

:worship: (obligatory amazement at your Hidden Mickey prowess)

We're up to the last day already? But...you just got here! (feels like it, anyway) :sad1:

When we as a family posed the question as to our favorites...we cannot decide...LeCellier would win on Quality...but LTT wins on quantity...Both are about equal for different reasons as our favorites.

Oh I don't count calories even when off vacation...just hate when I fill up on stuff and can't finish an entree.

More Bowing...well I am a King!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I woke up around 830am...everyone was sleeping soundly...so I quitely got up and got ready for the day...as we had no place to be until 7pm that night for ADR at Boma.

After I had gotten ready...I turned on the TV and turned the volume down to zero...I started channel hoping. wasn't long before a hit MSNBC...typically I would blaze right past anything they would show...but I froze...there was one of the towers smoking...shortly after the second tower was hit. MSNBC was rebroadcasting the events of 9-11-01 in realtime as they happened.

I sat there in silence watching...not needing the sound. Tiny was the next to wake up...he had only been 1½ when this had happened...though he's seen footage and knows about it he had never seen this this way.

Eventually everyone woke up and watched...we watch up to when the Pentagon was hit...somewhere in there I guess everyone took time to get ready...and it was time to go...we all were very thankful to be together and in this happy place. I was also thankful of this reminder. Kuddos to MSNBC for showing this.

Today was a resort day...planned to take it easy. I thought maybe lounge around the pool...check out the resort...Mel...she thought DTD and other resorts gift shops. :sad2:

So we go with her plan.

We hit DTD first...WoD...I had to take back my Stitch Shirt I had gotten at the Emporium...I needed a size 2XL based on the one I tired on at WoD...but the one I had gotten in the Emporium...was a size 2XL Tent...I could housed the family in that thing. Mel was on a mission to find her father something.

From there we went to Team Mickey...then Pooh's Corner...

Once Upon a Toy...found this Hidden Mickey...
IMG_0359.jpg

I also found this shirt for Mel's dad...
IMG_0358.jpg

From there we went to the Earl of Sandwich for lunch. Then we worked our way back to the Van. From DTD I drove to the Wilderness Lodge. I wished I had more time to explore this resort...did not find a single HM...but here are some picture I did get...

IMG_0364.jpg

IMG_0365.jpg

Mel got herself a WL Beach Towel...and a mini version of that Totem Pole for our mantle.

From there we drove over to the Poly...got some Self Serve Dole Whip at Capt. Cooks. I walk up to the machine...pull the handle...and a chior of angels begin to sing...ahhhhhh

From there we decide to take a Monorail tour...and we get off at the Grand. Not a Fan of this place...but I did get some pictures of HM's

There's a store on the ground level...and the Boy's and I try to get in...but this rude guest and family have decided to set up camp in the entrance and talk. Finally after several "excuse me" (s) we get into the Store...Boy finds a Disney History Book which he buys...and we are ready to leave...same family standing in the way. Son of a Peanut Butter!!! Excuses me. Tiny says we should just knock them out of the way...I tell him in a very load tone....just because others are being rude...doesn't mean we have to be. I heard a CM Snicker. Anyway we finally escape. and make our way back to the Monorail.

Get sad when I can't get off at the MK...then on to the Comtemp...I step out to get this Picture...Look at the 3 swirls at tthe top...HM...
IMG_0374.jpg

Amazing how fast time flys as it is 5:40 something...and it's time to head to the Animal Kingdom Lodge... we are there early enough to explore a little...
HM look at the circles at the bottom of the shield.
IMG_0376.jpg

I think these guys had visited the Seagulls outside of the Seas...Mine mine mine...sounded just like them.
IMG_0377.jpg

Anyway...having smelled Boma from the Lobby long enough I was ready to eat. So we were seated and the Waitress took our drink orders and explained some of the dishes. Having read many rave reviews I was excited.

We were very underwhelmed...I thought most dishes were lacking in flavor. the Spicy ribs were good...but mostly fat...the tiny deserts were OK...but nothing special...Mel and Tiny liked absolutly nothing. Too top it off our waitress never showed up for drink refills.

Mel left along with Tiny...she must have encountered our Waitress along the way because when she finally showed up she had adjusted the Bill for only 2 Meals...and I tipped her not......so all in all Boma get 4 Thumbs Down from the Family. It just wasn't for us. But apparently many people like it.

So we leave the AKL and head back to the CSR...We stop at El Centro...Mel gets some Snacks for her and Tiny...and we pick up our final items from the parks inside Mel's Place...I get 2 more keychains...another Cinderella and Minnie...Oh well...guess I'll have to E-Bay Goofy.

We get back to the Room...pack up everything but a set of clothes for the trip home. And we all take several items and goto pack the Van.

We have a had another Magical time in the Best Place on Earth. :thumbsup2

Showers...Bed.

Tomorrow...Check-out...Drive Home...

That must have been a little surreal, to be watching that while at Disney World. Of course, it was surreal the day it happened, too.

Today was a resort day...planned to take it easy. I thought maybe lounge around the pool...check out the resort...Mel...she thought DTD and other resorts gift shops. :sad2:

:sad2: I'm sure everything at DTD was completely different from all of the other gift shops! :rotfl2:

I also found this shirt for Mel's dad...

I offered to get the same shirt for my dad! He didn't want it for some reason. :confused3 :rotfl2:

From DTD I drove to the Wilderness Lodge. I wished I had more time to explore this resort...did not find a single HM...

They actually have a Hidden Mickey scavenger hunt list you can get at the front desk. I have pictures of some of them, but I don't think I have them uploaded so I can post them here. We do have this one from the WL bedspreads:

Please, please, please tell me you crop-dusted them! :thumbsup2

:sad1:

Sorry Boma was a disappointment. I haven't tried that one. I do love the theming of the AKL, though.

Nate, nice update. I see you get the same picture at DTD that we do with Pooh and Tigger. :)

I agree with you about the GF -- don't like it at all!

You and your HM's--you are amazing.

If you want to get rid of Goofy keychain, I'll buy it from you (I need a little gift for a grab bag at the holidays and it would be perfect; you can PM me if you want to do).

I am definitely getting that "Old Sure Beats Dead" T-shirt for Grumpy next year. :lmao::lmao:

We ate at Boma as well and it got 2 thumbs down from us too. The only thing I really liked was the mushroom soup, and a few of the desserts. Not worth the $35.00 a person buffet charge. We left hungry to say the least. I was very glad we had free dining, but still disappointed in a bad meal. Out of our 7 meals, this was ranked number 7 :sad2:

During all my planning and everything...it never occured to me that we would be there on this day...certainly made me count my blessings.

Totally Different...at least that shirt from Once Upon a Toy...

I offered to get the same shirt for my dad! He didn't want it for some reason. :confused3 :rotfl2:

My FIL loves his shirt...he's in a nursing home and always likes to wear a funny shirt.

We do have this one from the WL bedspreads:

At first I saw the one in the middle...then I noticed all the smaller ones in the Boarders. :thumbsup2

Saddly I couldn't work up the intestinal fortitude for such an assult.

Sorry Boma was a disappointment. I haven't tried that one. I do love the theming of the AKL, though.
Well at least I know better now...I have heard Breakfast is really good.

Nate, nice update. I see you get the same picture at DTD that we do with Pooh and Tigger. :)
Thanks...I've seen 1 or 20 of those pictures in your TR's

I agree with you about the GF -- don't like it at all!
It just doesn't feel very Disney too me...the CM's are great...it's mainly the guest I don't care for.

You and your HM's--you are amazing.
Thanks...check out my new sub heading below my screen name. :thumbsup2

If you want to get rid of Goofy keychain, I'll buy it from you (I need a little gift for a grab bag at the holidays and it would be perfect; you can PM me if you want to do).

Actually...it's Goofy I'm seeking...I have a Nemo :fish: and a Cheshire Cat :ccat: that I'll probably sell via E-bay. Mel, Tiny and my Sister-in-Law have taken care of the others I did not want.

I am definitely getting that "Old Sure Beats Dead" T-shirt for Grumpy next year. :lmao::lmao:
I love Waldorf and Stadler...my favorite Muppets...Grumpy would look good in one...I bet they have those in HS too...but got this one in the Boardgame Room in Once Upon a Toy. :thumbsup2

Tell me about it. I have some XL Disney shirts that are too small and some L shirts that are too big. :sad2:

So how does the homemade stuff at home compare?

Bummer about Boma. We're trying it for dinner in December. I hope they fix it by then...

Agreed #8 out of 8 for us.

I would have love to spend some time doing nothing...but glad we got to go to the WL and ride the Monorail one more time.

Tell me about it. I have some XL Disney shirts that are too small and some L shirts that are too big.
The shirt at WoD was of a thicker material...the Emporium shirt was super thin material...I liked the lighter weight...wished it had fit.

So how does the homemade stuff at home compare?
Homemade stuff taste just as good...just never gets really thick.

Hope so too...I was a bit bummed...wish I had chosen Whispering Canyon...which was my other option...anyway it was free Dining...and I only lost 2 credits. But who knows...maybe your Wisconsin Taste buds will like it.

Do they put cheese on everything? If so, my Wisconsin Taste buds are already singing!

See...I hated Whispering Canyon Cafe when we went two years ago and won't go back. The food was disgusting, service was non-existent and there was NONE of the shennanigans they talked about.

Having tried neither that was my 2 choices. :confused3

Thanks for the warning!

This was my first time with the DDP...so it was all new to me...last trip I only had the QSDP...and paid for Chef Mickey with Disney Rewards.

If I happen to go back with the DDP...I think the only repeat I would do is Liberty Tree Tavern. Depends on what they do with the menu at LeCellier if I go back there...since it is moving to the "Signiture" resturant category.

nice update nate. i never ate at boma, the menu didnt turn me on. we have eaten at whispering a few times and sometimes its quite and other times they had the katchup thing going. the kid at the table next to us sent the waiter back twice for a refill on his drink. after the second time the waiter came out with this huge (i would say atleast a gallon) glass jug of soda and told the kid here this should keep you busy for awhile.:lmao: the kid drank the entire thing. i would of peed for a week if i drank that.:lmao: we have been going to ohanas lately. we go in streaks.:lmao: i cant believe your wrappin this up already. time to plan the next one!!!!:thumbsup2 (still got dons credit card number???)

Yeah...hate to wrap it up...means it's offically over.

Don's CC will be busy booking the DIS Dad's Cruise in 2012 for everyone...so I might have to sell a few organs for my next trip.

Wouldn't have a spare Kidney I could borrow would you??? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

you can have my kidney, i dont get on a boat!!!! ive seen titanic!!! i said that to my niece one time and she said, oh uncle david theres no ice in the south atlantic. ok, ive seen posiden adventure!!:lmao: (that was before the new p.a. movie came out. she had no idea what the p.a. was.:lmao:

Oh man! It's almost over! Already?!?! I thought you learned a thing or two about how to drag it out when reading my TR? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I remember that morning, too. I was watching live when the 2nd plane hit... complete disbelief! I had even plopped a VHS tape and started recording after that happened.

Never ate at Boma before... not sure I'll give it a try after this review. Come to think of it, we've never been to AKL or any of the restaurants. :confused3

Feel free to keep waving that CC in the air. I'm getting lot's a reward dollars :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Nate-

I didn't realize that MSNCB was playing the footage in real time. I think every one remembers where they were on 9/11. We (DW & I) were in Ocean City, MD on vacation. She went down tho the beach while I was still waking up. turned on the TV to see the first tower smoking and the news person saying that they think it was a commercial airliner... then here comes the second one. I knew right then that this wasn't an accident. It was surreal.

I love the Statler and Waldorf shirt. Those are my favorite Muppets!!!! :lmao::lmao:

Were the tiles of the characters at the GF in the lobby or on the upper level near the gift shop? While were were there in March they were pulling up all the carpet in the lobby.... :confused3

What a nice relaxing day resort hopping.

I've always wanted to try Boma.... but now I am second guessing that. I've read quite a few reports where people weren't having a decent meal there. Plus a horrible waitress..... UGH!!!! :headache:

So sorry your report is coming to an end... Time to start on the PTR! :goodvibes
