When we lived with my Dad our life was like King of Queens, 'cept that we had kids. Serious. It was a nightmare. Everytime we'd leave the kids with him for any reason at all we'd have to deprogram them when we got home. No, cookie dough is not an acceptable solution for dinner, I don't care how old you are. We do much better with 2,000 miles between us.

We got to bed pretty early for my family on Vacation...for we had to be at the Magic Kingdom for the Opening.

As I had mentioned this became a trip of "things we have never done before"...(Which is what I almost titled the trip report.) So for some reason or other we have never been at the gates when the Train arrives...been there as it has pulled away...but never before.

So we get ready and drive to the MK... That's a Right out of the CSR...then Right onto World Drive again I say it's about 5 Minutes and we are waved through at the MK Parking Toll booth...and we get to park in Minnie. Walking distance to "the Station" (I call it this to annoy my DS15 who gets a little upset when I call the TTC "the Station"...also get upset when we call the Magic Kingdom "Disney World".)

We get on the Gold Monorail...on the Express line. and get off to a very small crowd. The MK has it's fall decor up...never seen that before.

Then this guy comes out and get things fired up...

A little song and dance...then the train pulls up...with Mickey and Friends.

This one is for Barry and his son...

So now the park is open and where do we go first...the Emporium.

But I've resigned myself to the fact that this will always be our first stop...so why fight it.

We make our way thru the Emporium...and out the back side of Casey's and i check in at the Crystal Palace. we wait maybe 10 Minutes and our buzzer goes off...and we are in...

T-I- Double Guh-ER is still working our section...so we wait for him to show up while our waiter gets our drink orders.

Then Tigger arrives...and look Boy actually has a smile...I'm so proud..

Then we go load up our plates...the omlet line is way to long to wait...but heck...I'll make my own omlettish like dish...Scrambled eggs...A pound of Bacon, Sausage, Gravy, Lipitor, Mushrooms...etc.

Sorry the picture was too heavy to upload...also clogged up my Ethernet cable.

Stuffed like Pooh in a SueBee factory...we wedge ourselves out the door...so where do we go??? Well Space Mountain of course. Yep i had slipped out of the Emporium and gotten Fast passes for Space Mountian...see SM was closed our last trip...and we wanted to ride the refurbished ride.

In hindsite this probably wasn't the brightest of ideas...filling up on pork and grease then riding a rollercoaster...but what do I care I had the front car. we get seats 1-2-3-4...Me-Tiny-Boy-Mel

Thoughts on the refurb...Well I dooo like the new in ride music and wish I could find it somewhere. But the ride itself...it is very rough. I would have expected them to attempt to make the ride smoother than what it had been...this thing was like riding a washboard.

One ride was long enough for Mel but the Stand-by line was not that bad so me and the boys go in for Round 2. And I thought the ride was rough in the front...the Back seat goes from washboard to offroad. OK I've had enough for now too.

We find Mel in Mickey's Star Traders...and then we decide to hit the CoP.
It's a great big beautiful tomorrow...

And then we hit the People Mover over at the TTA. OK I do not like that the took away the announcments that say "Approaching Space Mountain...etc." But I guess I'm just old fashioned...

So now we make our way to Fantasyland Pooh is having a face lift...and Standby is way too long we go on and grab some FP's for Peter Pan...then catch my Favorite Philharmagic....twice. Snow White is not to bad so we go and hop on there. IASW is closed for refurb. ahhhh

The Haunted Mansion is next...they really crank those Doombuggies around...cause it never takes very long to get in.

As we get off and head out....there this little old man just shuffling along as fast as he can...At fisrt I thought the count was down to 998.

Tiny and Boy try to dart around the Gentleman...but after a pull on the arm and the evil eye...they realize the error of what they about did.

I don't know his story...who he was...or even his age...it was just him and his cane and fedora...barely moving his feet...he didn't stop for a wheel chair...but he just shuffled on toward Frontierland...Hope he had a Magical day...cause he gave me a little magic by just this breif encounter...don't think I'll ever forget the little old man from the haunted Mansion. Wished I had taken a picture. Hope I have enough spunk to make it to my favorite place when I'm shuffling.

We stop and do the Hall of Presidents...I noticed one thing...right before Robama gives his little speach...he reads a few notes off of a page on a table next to him...then just talks... Yeah Right!!!

We come out in time to catch the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade. We caught this parade lastyear and really liked it. The Music is one of those tunes that gets stuck in your head...kinda like "it's a small world"...but this one I don't mind too much.

Then we make our way toward Frontierland...I sneak through the Adventureland cutover for some Dole Whip!!! I find the Family in the Trading Post...and they are like...awe man Dole Whip.

I find a few Hidden Mickey here though...

We go and see the Country Bears...I love Big Al.

Then ge get some grub at Pecos Bills and the Outpost.

Then we hit PotC and the Jungle Cruise.
You Tube Break.

Then we go to Stake out a place for the Main Street Electrical Parade...Boys and I plan on hitting BTM ans Splash Mt. during EMH.

It was good to see the "Old" ELP, but honestly I missed SpectroMagic. The Music for the ELP is very...ummm...annoying. I enjoyed it...but once was enough.

So we bang around the Emporium some more until time for Wishes. This is when I notice something I wish I had never seen as it haunts me the remainer of the trip. Vinylmation Jr.2 series Keychains...I determined that I MUST have the Goofy and Donald. So I buy 2...Peter Pan and Figment...son of a Peanut Butter...Buy 2 more...open them Donald and Cinderella. I give Tiny the Figment and Mel gets Cinderella. Boy does not want one. So I have one of the 2 I wanted.

now it is Wishes time...I love Wishes...and even own the CD for Wishes. I would not have minded if the Summer-Nights-tastic fireworks were still here...but they had Wishes back...so I'm not complaining either.

Fireworks are over so we head back to Adventureland...PotC again...then they Boys head off to BTM and Mel says she will check out the gift shop at Splash Mountian. there is hardly any line so we get BTM twice...and then we find Mel. Her and Boy head back toward the entrance while Tiny and I do Splash...Twice. I really like that "How Do Ya Do Song". Pretty good sure as your born.

The park closed at 10pm...and somehow it is already Midnight. Tempus-Fuget.

So we find Boy and Mel on a bench near the fire hall... we get on the Resort Monorail and back to the Station (Grrr TTC says Boy)... Walk back to the Van...feel for those poor Peanut Butters waiting on the Tram.

Back to the CSR and showers and bed...I'm the last at about 2:30am.

Well I lost my Transitions glasses to the Atlantic back in 2009...so I just have regular prescription sunglasses...they are not that dark...so I just keep them on until sunset.

Well the typical American breakfast is not all that healthy unless you can eat one of those ground-up cardboard cereals....so I thought about 100mg of Lipitor with a Crestor Chaser and a half bussel of Grapefruit should do it.

It's mostly a pin trader store between the Country Bears and the Shootin Exposition.

It looks like Aladdin moonlights as a high-school shop teacher.

So now the park is open and where do we go first...the Emporium.

"your relatives taste good"! i havnt been on space mnt. since it reopened, so its not any smoother? it took me a few years to start calling the mk the magic kingdom. when dd was small, i would say lets go over to disney world.(we would be at cbr) she would say i thought we were at walt disney world. i still call the car. of prog. the ge building and the wed way people mover. great update. why are there no pics of the nate man with the characters?????

Putting Lipitor in the omelet is a veteran move. That cancels all the rest of it out.
