Well, the unthinkable has happened and the Canadiens have made it to the playoffs. We will be at WDW the end of April/early May. Does anyone know if there is anywhere in Disney we might be able to catch a game? ESPN Club perhaps?

You can certainly try the ESPN club. They were showing playoffs there when we visited last May10-17. DH is a HUGE Penguins fan (especially Crosby) and we couldn't get anything on TV. Some people in a bus line said it was on at ESPN. But I wonder if it depends on who they are playing...don't know if they show all the games.

Good luck!

My husband is obsessed  with hockey and when we were there last year he was going through hockey withdrawl. So we went to ESPN and in every booth you have your own t.v. so you can ask them to put on the game for you. Mind you they look at you like you are crazy for asking for a hockey game :lmao: Good Luck for catching a game:thumbsup2

My Habs fan husband and I just got back from Disney and there was no way he was going to miss a game. This was our second trip to Disney near playoffs and we have been able to catch all the games at the ESPN club. If it isn't initially on when you get there talk to the people behind the bar or your server and they will put it on one of the TV's.

It is a great place to watch the game but it will probably be filled with Boston fans so be careful...

We tried to watch the game on CBC on the internet but it doesn't work out of the country. We could hear the game on NHL.com and XM radio because we have a subscription. You can subscribe on NHL.com to a service to watch the games but it was expensive.

Go Habs Go

DS7 is a major jr hockey fan so we are stuck taking our laptop so he can "facebook" his favourites and watch a game if the need arises..:)

We were just there last week and the ESPN club had hockey on the big screen on Saturday afternoon.:cool1: We were thrilled. We got to watch the Canes. Unfortunately they lost, but we were still thrilled to see them.

The leaf fans will not have any issues around the playoffs this year.

ohmygosh that class picture is hilarious!!!!!!!

My husband loves hockey period. His beloved Islanders didn't make the playoffs but if there's hockey in early May, he's going to need to make friends with some good beer drinking, hockey loving Canadian boys and watch a game!!

We got married on May 29th (10 years ago) and during our reception he disappeared for HOURS. What was he doing??? Watching the Memorial Cup on TV down in the golf course lounge!!! :sad1:

Your either a Habs fan or not a hockey fan....LOL...
GO Habs GO..... the way they are playing should be making tee times with Toronto early next week.....:rotfl2:

Montreal will be eliminated LONG before the first of May.....so no need to worry about it :rotfl2:

GO WINGS !!

ESPN will definitely show it if asked...number of screens depends on what else is going on. We have been down for playoffs often and sometimes even most of the bar patrons are into it.

Orlando Ale house also has a ton of tv's and will usually switch a screen or two depending what else is on.

Vero has a better selection of tv stations and we watched playoffs there from our room. Not sure which station.

My DH just watched the last game of the season at ESPN. He sat in the bar area and the waitress changed the channel on one of the tv's for him.

Red Wings will be the team to beat this year. So if you're not a Wings fan, go to the parks so we Detroiter's can watch our team win it all at ESPN Club.
:cool1::yay::cool1::cheer2:

If anyone get to watch some of the games at the ESPN Club post some pics.

ESPN Club gets PACKED on the weekends just because its where everybody goes to watch the game in Disney. You don't have to worry about that in Universal....:lmao:

Should be able to book their tee times mid-week. After Boston sweeps Montreal, the Habs can sweep the greens.

Sorry :worship:- I dont' follow hockey but we were planning to check out the ESPN Club on May 16th to watch the Nascar All Star Race - can't skip watching a race just because we're on vacation!:yay:
