I wasted my 10,000 post on the clique thread. :(

And I want to thank you guys for understanding and appreciating my sense of humor. Some people just don't get it. Hmmmph. :sad2:

Don't feel bad, I get in trouble every time I stray from here. My humor is lost on the outside world, also! :confused3

I'll post it here, it may take a couple of posts.
We arrived at DAK around 8:20. While going through the parking booth I saw the park hours were listed as 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. I knew about the park being open until 6, I didn't know it opened at 8. Panic sets in, I get all antsy because from reading other reports you have to be there AT opening if you don't want to wait in the stand-by line from hell. And we really wanted to go stand-by once to go through the queue. Turns out my panic was for nothing, the park opened at 9. Phew.

So yeah we get in the park, we wait for opening, we are then herded to the Dinoland entrance to Asia. Castmembers were checking annual passes, DVC cards AND picture IDs.

And so now our adventure begins:

We went to the stand-by line and DH's work partner, John, went to get us fast passes. The return times were all ready 12:00 to 1:00. Yikes. The queue is beautiful, it is like going through a museum, seriously. You could go through it a number of times and still not see everything. I didn't even bother looking for Hidden Mickeys during this go through. Here are some pics from the queue (I have tons more, but I whittled it down to some of the best):

Around 9:30 we get on for our first ride on Expedition Everest!!!! No pics from that. But here is one of me in the gift shop after. LOL

Those are Yeti binoculars, by the way, lol.

I have to say EE is well worth the $100 million price tag. You get thrills, you get theming, you get it all. LOVE IT. There are some great drops, there are some great curves, and going backward is out of this world. It really gets you all confused. This may be Disney's best attraction yet. And I swear the Yeti touched the top of my head. The problem is, you don't seem him long enough to REALLY appreciate how much work went into him. We tried getting pictures, but it was too quick for our camera.

After we go out of the gift shop we got out of that area. It was a madhouse, mob scene practically. I heard it was worse on Saturday. So glad we weren't around for that. We did a few other things around the park. John and his wife went off and did their own thing and we did ours. We met up around 11:00 at Flame Tree BBQ for lunch. Yummy.

John doesn't like roller coasters and decided he was not going on EE ever again. LOL He has a major problem with motion sickness. His wife decided she wasn't going again either since he wasn't. So they gave us their fast passes. Woo hoo. It meant we had two more times.

Around 11:45 we head back to the Dinoland entrance to Asia, get rechecked, and got to the fast pass entrance a minute before our time. Noon flashes up and off we go. The Fast Pass queue is also themed (thumbs up Disney) but much, much shorter (of course). We get back on (again near the back), we are waiting for the go ahead in our train, and then technical difficulties strike. OH GREAT. After sitting there for about 7 minutes, it all gets going again. Phew. We get off and get back in line. This time we decided to ask for the front row. That required an addition 5 minute wait (I guess people didn't know there was a front row line, woo hoo!). The front is awesome. Yeah you don't feel the rush as much but the view is breathtaking. Loved it. Here are some pics from that:

The view from the top was amazing. You could see Spaceship Earth, Tower of Terror and so much more. I wanted a pic of all that but DH is afraid of heights and I was lucky to get the two of the broken track. LOL
