It's 11:00 a.m. and I feel the need for a drink. In the past six days, all three kids and DH have had the upper respiratory flu (no puking, thank God). Ariel, our puppy, got fixed yesterday and we have to keep her from playing with the other dog, not let her go up stairs, and generally keep her down. Yeah, right.

DS 8 has now started to get bloody noses from all the sniffling. Why can't guys learn to use tissues??? He has been up with them for the past two nights and with DH sick I'm the one to get up and help. DH 7 has been having nightmares and wants to sleep with me. Humidifier on furnance stopped working so DH called a buddy to come look at it and showed up at 7:30 this morning. We were all still sleeping and woke the boys.

I know it could be worse, but I'm beginning to think I need to get the flu so I can have a vacation

Well, drinks are on me. Since I'm serving everyone else up around here I might as well extend the offer to all those on the boards. Get in line and let me know what you want.

Thankfully, everybody here is healthy (knock on wood). But all I've been hearing is "Moommmm, Shadow's chewing on my ......". Okay, why not pick up your toys? Then I tell them to do their chores (DS8 & DS4) and they get out more toys instead! So then I hear "Shadow, no no drop it?". Not a command - they're asking the puppy to drop their toys.

I don't care what you pour me so long as it's cold and gauranteed to make me forget about the whining.

I'll even wear my wine charms!

We were felled by this virus from HELL as well. DS had a temp of 105 on Christmas morning, and spent the day on the couch. Did not even finish opening his gifts until about 6:30 that night. He could not have cared any less. And Santa and Mickey gave us a trip to WDW in 3 weeks too!!!

We are finally all on the mend, and will be entering our plastic bubbles to keep us healthy til our trip.

Hope everyone is better soon.

I'm the one who has been suffering this last week. I started out with bladder infection (anyone who has had these knows how painful they are!) then a touch of the flu (i had a flu shot in the fall) and now heartburn. The good thing is I've lost some weight that I've wanted to get rid off, but this wasn't the way I wanted to lose it!!

I think we are finally on the mend. DH said he was feeling much better this morning. DS 7 is still coughing but did not wake me up at all last night. Might had to do with the 3 Bud Lights I had before bed.

I have given up on Ariel. I figure if she doesn't mind the steps then they are all hers. I will keep her from running around the house though. That I can control with the crate.

Hope everyone enjoyed their drinks. I, for one, know I certainly enjoyed mine.

Everyone is doing pretty good lately. Thanks for asking. It took about 48 for eacch person to go thru it except DH. I think he was complaining for a week. Why are men such babies?????

I never got sick though. Imagine that. I bet it was all the alcohol I drank that killed the germs.

I guess that's why I never get sick either. Maybe we could market a new "FLU DRINK" No more nasty flu shots. Atleast not the kind that hurt. Just a shot of this and a shot of that. Depending on your taste it could be wine, beer or hard liquor.
