I feel so mean! But.... we have new neighbors 2 doors down. They have 3 kids under 6. And a lovely inground pool. I can honestly say they are amongst the loudest people I have ever seen!Across the street from them are twin boys also 4. As mine are. Now let me say mine are loud and yes can be quite obnoxious. I just never can understand the screaming. You know little ones that scream all the while they are playing.
My fave neighbor is a single guy in his 40ies and just put his house up for sale. Because he can't stand it any more. I can't say as I blame him its gonna be along summer. The plus side is it makes my kids look really well behaved in comparision!

I feel your pain. Our next door neighbors stay indoors during the heat of the day and then come out, like vampires, after dark to swim in their pool. Much yelling and screaming going on. Finally got dd a nice window a/c to hide the yelling outside her window. Or it's their dog barking outside all day because they don't want her in the house with them.

I can't screaming and whining. Drives me up the wall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My 2 smaller nephews are like this, and it's likes nails on ablackboard to me!!! I don't mind the sound of kids laughing and playing...we have tons of kids in our neighborhood, and I actually enjoy hearing them having fun, but when it's that constant shrill screaming, it's just unbearable!!!

My SIL complains of headaches all the time, and I swear it's because her kids just constantly scream. A few years ago when my DMIL died, they came here for the funeral(they live in St.Louis). Well, I decided that I would be nice and take the kids for a ride to look at Christmas lights. The little one screamed somuch that I finally told him if he did it again, I'd turn the car around and drop him off and continue the fun with only his brother. He did, so I did. Needless to say, I am not his favorite aunt, but that's OK, because he is not my favorite nephew either!

Well, my whole block is that way. I swear there are atleast 15 kids under the age of 7, and all they ever do is scream. And their parents let them do whatever they want, including letting them run around with no clothes on (even when it's only about 40 degrees out), run into neighbors' yards, etc, etc, etc. It is very annoying.
