While I have never done a side-by-side comparison, I used to drink more Sam Adams (I even met Jim Koch once) and now I prefer Dale's. If you are a fan of Sam Adams, you will probably appreciate Dale's. But don't take my word for it, check the website to find the location nearest you and run right out for a six-pack!

I think Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA won the favorite beer in America in Zymurgy magazine. I am lucky that here in CO there are a lot of good beers brewed locally: New Belgium, Odells, Boulder Beer, Avery, Twisted Pine, Oskar Blues...

River Horse and Hunterdon Brewing are no slouches either, though.
