Inspired by my weekend plans! :teeth:

If the weather holds out, we're going to go boating this weekend with 5 other couples. Cross your fingers for me, because I NEED this night out!!! :p Our plan is to cruise around the bay and enjoy a few cocktails on the boat Saturday evening, then head over to one of the waterfront restaurants and dock and dine. Each couple is going to bring the ingredients to blend/shake/stir a different drink. Don't worry, we have a designated driver (or would that be captain????) in case anyone partakes a little too much. :o

So, what's your favorite drink recipe? Here's mine:

Frozen margarita (Mmmmm.....)

1 can frozen limeade concentrate
1/2 can of tequila (preferably Cuervo 1800)
1/3 can of Cointreau
Freshly squeezed juice of 2 limes

Add all ingredients to blender and fill with ice. Blend until smooth. Pour and drink up! :teeth:

I don't mix drinks myself so my recipe is to...

Have designated driver drive me to a nice lounge-- let's say the lounge in the Grand Californian (actually we fly there and then take a cab).

Then I look at the drink menu and chose a drink.

Next I order from the waitress and she brings me a...

Chocolate Martini

Long Island Ice Tea

1/2 ounce Vodka
1/2 ounce Gin
1/2 ounce White Rum
1/2 ounce Cointreau
1 ounce Lemon Juice
Top with Cola

Build all ingredients in an ice tea glass, then top with cola and garnish with a lemon wedge.

My favorite would be one that I didn't make, didn't pay for and didn't have to worry about driving after!

i dont know the exact recipes. i am one of those that pours "until it looks good"!! LOL

Melon Ball:
vodka
pineapple juice
melon liquor
ice

mix and pour. these are soooo good. it should be a lime green color!

Vodka
Tripple Sec
Lime Juice
Cranberry Juice

Shake and serve!!

White Russian
Glass of ice
A lot of Kaluah
A lot of Vodka
However much milk fits
Shake

Frozen Mudslide
Kaluah
Vodka
Baileys
Breyers Vanilla Icecream
ice
Blend in blender until smooth, top with whip cream and crushed oreos.

This is a nice "light" one:
Mailbu rum
pineapple juice
splash of cranberry(or not)
if you want to make it a little less "light":
add vadka

It tastes like a pina colada-Yummmm

Kim

We drink these all spring and summer:

Blue Whales

vodka (a shot or so)
lemonade (fill the glass till almost full)
blue curacao (enough to make the drink blue)

We make pitchers of these when we have a big barbecue. My friends and I concocted them in college, and my family and I have been drinking them ever since.

I have 2 favorites, one hot, one cold:

Rasberretta:

Chamboard
Ameretto
vanilla or coffee ice cream
Blend in the blender.

Raspberry Sprocket

Chamboard
Frangelica
Coffee
Whipped Cream

Can you tell I have a thing for Raspberries? ;)

I like the cosmo, but I'm a sucker for a good dirty martini.. Pour a little dry vermouth over ice, swirl it around and dump it out, leaving the ice behind. Add vodka, preferrably Grey Goose, then add some olive juice and shake. Pour into a martini glass and garnish with an olive, or two.

An easy and very good drink to take on the boat is an Absolut Mandarin and Tonic... The name sort of explains the drink. Garnish with orange wedges.

And there's always a Southern Comfort Manhattan...

Shot of Southern Comfort.
1/2 shot of sweet vermouth
Cherry

Yum!

Have a wonderful night cruising!

Not alcoholic, but you could add some if you need to. Truthfully it doesn't need it...it's sinfully delicious the way it is and amazingly easy.

Iced Coffee Latte ( you won't be buying from Starbucks after this)

1/3 c instant coffee granules
1/2 c boiling water
(OR if you have coffee made up, just use 1/2 C of that)
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated)
2 C cold water
1 quart cold low fat chocolate milk
Ice cubes

Place coffee granules in 1 quart bowl and add boiling water. Whisk. (OR use your 1/2 C coffee). Whisk in sweetened condensed milk and cold water until completely blended.

Pour coffee mixture into 2 quart pitcher. Add chocolate milk. Mix well. Chill at least an hour (FYI, I can never make it that long). Serve over ice.

All I can say is this is too YUM

Meloncholy Baby

In a blender:
Ice cubes
Honeydew melon chunks
lemonade
melon liquere (sp?)

Blend and enjoy! I don't drink much, but a friend who was a bartender gave me one of these one time and I love it!

I'd like a GTO.

Galliano
Triple sec
Orange juice

Strawberry Daiquiri-
strawberry daiquiri mix,
frozen strawberrys,
a little bit of ice
rum- to taste, optional
It makes a delicious non-alcoholic smoothy.

Canadian Club and Coke-
self explanatory

Lime Green Jello Shots

Lime Green Jello
Vodka

(Now that I think about it ... how would you do this? Heat the vodka first so the jello melts and then add cold vodka so it jells? And ultimately, is jello fat-free?)

Never mind ...

I'm fond of no-frills well drinks...

Tequila and Cranberry Juice (don't knock it till ya try it)

Amaretto Sour (buy large jug of sour mix and large bottle of amaretto - mix to your own taste)
