You have no idea how long I have wanted to type those words. After eight very, very long months of my husband's unemployment, I can happily announce that .....
HE GOT A JOB TODAY!!!!!!!
It is an experience that we never want to repeat as long as we live. It was such a difficult time. But I learned many things. Such as never take ordering out for pizza for granted. The cinema is a pure luxury that was really missed, especially when a really good movie came out. Your family can really stay happy, even under the worst of circumstances. People are truly willing to help you in time of need. I learned that here on the Dis, I can't tell you how many people emailed me when I posted how desperate things were getting, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. And I will never forget the first time I posted about us last Spring and I think I got about 5 pages of support and prayers. It will never be forgotten. I also learned about my faith. I have always been a faith filled person my entire life, always relying on God for every situation. This was entirely different. My faith wavered and I became so unsure of "where was God and why on earth aren't you answering me??" Well, the answer came today. My husband got the job he was searching for and he thinks he will really love. On the way to a celebatory dinner, I drove my whole family to church. It was almost empty and we all knelt and thanked God for a few minutes. I don't know if I'll ever really understand why we went through these desperate months, but maybe it was to see how good other people can be.
So he begins a brand new job (Sr. Programmer Analyst), taking the train into Boston every day and can't wait. I thank each and every one of you for your support and prayers.
WE ARE SO HAPPY TONIGHT!!!!!!!
