It's Fat Tuesday.............

did anyone else have their donuts today? We are starting a tradition in our home of having a large, filled donut for dessert on Fat Tuesday each year. This year we had a Bavarian cream filled one. Tomorrow being Ash Wednesday, and the beginning of Lent, we eat well today, have a decadent dessert, and then no desserts for 40 days. How about you? What are you doing for Fat Tuesday?

We had a Mardi Gras celebration at work today complete with beans and dirty rice, gumbo, and King Cake for dessert. We all wore beads and had a wonderful time. Really, with my co-wokers any excuse to eat around brings on a party!!

My students and I ordered Kings Cakes for Mardi Gras, they got beads and made masks.
