It's beginning to look alot like winter again...

Finally after weeks of no snow and nothing but gross muddy brown patches on the ground and empty gray skies, we have snow. Lots of it! It started this a.m. and has not let up since.
The rows of pines in the back yard are once again looking like they've been covered with powdered sugar. And the kids, who had a snow day today are out shoveling the drive way. It's a winter wonderland.

Too bad we can't go sledding. It's much too dangerous you know! lol

I can relate- yesterday it snowed for the first time since early November. We've had nothing but rain, rain, and more rain. We have 5 inches on ground right now but it's supposed to rain tonight. The kids didn't get a snow day though - I'm sure they are bummed....

I'm jealous. Any time we get a couple inches of snow the rain or freezing rain comes and gets rid of it within a couple days. I'm a cross country skier. You have no idea how crazy I'm going. I haven't set foot in my skis since Christmas vacation LAST year. We're supposed to get more freezing rain tonight (oh joy), before it changes to heavy rain tomorrow. We're under flood watches. It's January. This is not supposed to be happening

You should post a pic of your pine trees covered in snow for those of us who never get any snow. I know it can be a pain when you get way too much, but it can be so pretty!
