It's beginning to look a lot like Chirstmas? Help, SSB needs your advice on his Tree!

What to do with the tree?

  • Are you crazy!? Take it down!

  • Oh, you can probably milk it another week.

  • As long as Valentine's day not here yet, safe.

  • "Elf" was right .. Chritmas year round! (will Zooey stop by?)

SSB is SHOCKED... but very happy to hear that so many others still have their's up... and mine is artificial... so passes the "decay" test... haha!!!

Mr. Dan... can barely find of clue of Xmas around the grounds... for real.

Er, um.. kind of like the monthly modifications to tree idea... hrrm..... ;)

SSB, another angel checking in to say that my tree is still up. It's even lit every night. It may be coming down tomorrow if I can get the family to help me. Leave it up as long as it pleases you!

!!!!

Give it one more week!!

(the tree just sent SSB a telekinetic message.... haha!)

;)

Thanks for wishes, and your thread great! :)

Don't hurry too much SSB~if it's still up at Valentines Day you can just hang hearts on it......shamrocks on it in March....pretty colorful eggs in April......flowers in May.......etc......:rotfl: :p ;) :p

We used to do this at work - I was just talking about this to someone the other day.

I didn't mind decorating the office, but told everyone that I HATED undecorating, and refused to do it. It never got done...really...one woman used to make decorations for each holiday, and hung them on the tree. We called it our All-Holiday Tree. :)

But...SSB...it's time, dude - take it down.

Ouch... the truth... the darned truth from my arch enemy... do I really have TO!!! Ack!!!!

:)

Er, um.. if SSB kept the tree up.... perhaps it would anonyest thee... haha? :)

Where is that darn Barry, this time o' year? haha!

:)

Mine came down the day after Christmas. Mostly because the needles were falling all over the carpet and the heat vent for that part of the room was covered because of it. There are still trees and lights up all over the place up here though.

Hiya,

Ours came down on the 6th January.... I'm pretty superstitious (sp?) and so it has to come down by that day!

But, as no one else mentioned that here I guess perhaps its not a 'tradition/superstition' you have in the States so you are probably safe to leave it up as long as you like LOL :)

Enjoy,
Gaspode

Take down the tree, but use the lights elsewhere...you get the same feeling at night.

Ya got the room? Ya like the tree?

LEAVE IT UP!

I think the lights are peaceful and quite beautiful. I put the tree on in the wee hours of the morning and sit and stare at it...enjoying it.

Having said that, mine did come down this week....but I would have left it up and have left it up longer depending on commitments.

It's your thang.....do what you wanna do......

Mine is still up,too! We were in Orlando the week after Christmas, then Michael's birthday was last week and to tell you the truth, I haven't had the time or inclination!

I DID take the ornament off, though, haven't got the heart to take it down yet. To me it's always the WORSE time of the season... :(

If it's artificial, then keep it up for as long as you like or until people start rolling their eyes at you!
well he may as well leave it up cuz people probably do that anyway :teeth:
my tree is down but we still have lights on outside of the house.

Another one with the tree still up. I was going to take it down yesterday but I never seemed to get around to it. I will definately take it down by next weekend(maybe). It is the worst part of the holiday though.

Go for it SSB. We have a 3 ft. artificial that never gets put away. The soft glow on those cold winter nights makes TV watching very romantic here in the chilly north. As I always say " What ever floats your boat."

I really hate taking mine down every year - we always have 3 trees (one real, which comes down the 26th, and 2 fake, that come down after Jan. 6th). This year I was late on getting mine down, I did it yesterday. I really considered leaving it up another week, but my kids sort of freaked over that idea. Both thought it took away from the magic of Christmas to leave it up for so long.

I do keep those white twinkly lights over my mantel during the winter, they give much needed light and warmth to my house all winter long. :)

We reached a compromise here....we took the tree down the weekend after New Years, but we've left the garland (with the white, sprakly lights) up! It does add a very nice glow to the house!

SSB - be sure to bag that tree before you do take it down or you'll have a sea of needles to clean up!
