My last trip to WDW was in '99. Next (and only for a few years) is in less than a year! I will manage to decide what new rides and attractions appeal to me/us etc... But what I am clueless about is photopass? :confused3 Someome please fill me in on all of the boring (to you by now) details. TYA :wizard:

The photopass looks like a credit card. Wherever you see CM's with a camera you hand them your card and they take your pictures and load it on the card. You can store all your pictures there. You can purchase them pictures at any of the parks BUT you can only purchase the pictures taken at the park you are in....if you want to wait and see what all the pictures look like you can go to the GF in the upstairs gift shop or wait to you get home and purchase them on the computer.

The nice thing about buying them at WDW is they have special borders, backdrops and captions that you cannot get online

I saw that a cd of photos costs about $100. what is the cost of the service (taking the pics?) Thanks again for e/1s help

No cost for the photo-taking service itself.

So I can take a ton of pics, then see them when I get home before I commit to buying? Sounds too good to be true!!! :woohoo:

The catch is the price of the prints to buy them!!!! I am not sure how it is working now but in May 2005 it was @$12 for a 5X7 and you could not order 4X6. That may be different now esp because of the CD option. I'm sure someone else can give us a detailed explanation of how it works this year.

Maybe I am missing a sandwich from my picnic basket but~ If I have a few hundred pics taken, cant I just buy the CD and keep them on my PC for fam to come see, and take them to any photo dev. to get prints, If I was being extremely generous? :grouphug:

No it doesnt work like that. There is a website on the back of the card, go on line and enter the special number assigned to the card. All your pics will show up. They disappear after 30 days.

I was able to print them off on Kodak paper in a 5x7 size and trim them up without having to buy them.

You can buy the CD now. It used to be that you could only order the 5 x 7s at $12.95, but now you can buy the CD for $99 (and you can buy it online).
