It's been a while, LAX to DLR? Frugal options appreciated.

We land at LAX Wednesday morning! We've driven the past few visits, prior to that we flew in to lovely, little LGB, I remember taking expensive taxi vans from LAX in the past, we had up to 6 with us then.
This upcoming visit our party is a group of 4, how would you get to DLR from LAX? Quickly, under $100 each way.
Thanks.

We took the Super Shuttle. It was $22 each maybe? I had no complaints at all. Great price, convenient service.

Thanks, was that round trip?

Sorry, that was one way.

We flew home out of SNA to maximize our time in the parks our last day. We got a flat rate taxi voucher at the hotel for $35 or $40 for the return trip. (for all 3 of us)

You can take a bus. It is only about $5 per person, takes 2.5-4 hours, and there are 4 transfers.

For me, I usually get a car service.

It is cheaper airfare to land at LAX but you need to take a ride to DL. If you land at SNA it costs more but you are a lot closer to the park.

We used Execucar...can also be booked through Supershuttle...last trip, and will use it again this week. You can book up to 4 adults for $72, plus tax and tip one way. No driving around the airport 4 times like Supershuttle. They are usually waiting in the cell phone lot, and pick you up fairly quickly.

If you are looking for frugal options you can always travel by train and bus. At LAX wait under the LAX shuttle and airline connection outside of the baggage claim area. Take the free "G" bus/shuttle to the Metro Green Line Aviation Station. Cost is $1.75 each (one way) Aviation Station (east) to Norwalk Station (last stop). Then jump on the 460 Metro Express Bus Line to Disneyland (not sure of the fare for this transfer).

Frugal, but quick, nothing taking hours. No bus after bus, hauling our luggage with us the whole way. Thanks though.

There are two that I am looking into for Saturday morning, not sure if either is better than the other. One is the express bus, $43 adults round trip, there are two adults and one child in our group, for you this seems like you could get a car for cheaper. The second one for us is prime time shuttle, they do not drive around and around they say, and the total for us is $45 each way. I am thinking this may be our best option. We leave Saturday, I would be curious what option you took and how cheap. Last time there was two of us in n, and it was actually cheaper to rent a car, at $10 a night, and $10 parking, cost me just $50.37, way cheaper than a van or shuttle or towncar.

Nice, our hotel has free parking, where'd you find a car rental for $10 a day?

We took supershuttle and it was reasonable. Book and pay ahead of time to get a good rate. Never set foot in a shuttle of any kind without getting an actual everyone-included price from the driver if you haven't booked ahead because they can basically tell you any price they want as soon as you get out. If you're taking any sort of service like that, always get a set price before getting in or book online so you can have a printout of the price you were guaranteed.

I have found that weekend car rental rates are the cheapest. For example, I am getting a rental from SNA for Sat-Tue, June 13-16, for $56, including taxes. If I had rented that same car Sun-Tue it would have been $87, for one less day!! I would check reviews of the various rental agencies that operate out of LAX though. I was temped to rent through Fox, but they got horrible reviews. Good luck!

I used price line last jan, and again for this week. I have a price of $12/day for the 8 days, total with tax is $114. Last time we had a three day car rental with tax it was like $34, and I think parking was like $8 or $10. Right now depending on your days this week, car rentals are $9 thru Priceline.

What car companies did you get? Great prices!

Nice, we were worried about a short rental, 4 days, week long rentals seem to get the better deals, three for $34 is great!
