Been eons since I've been on the DIS, but here I am again, and I have a question about resort room sizes. For 4 adults and a 2 year old, which moderate resort has the biggest rooms or at the very least, the best set up to avoid "cramped up" meltdown syndrome? ;)

Hi!
CBR rooms are 340 sq ft. These rooms also have double beds so they would probably feel even larger.

The other mods, except for the Ft Wilderness cabins(504 sq ft) are all 314 sq ft.

CSR has queens. This is the only mod that has sliding wooden doors to separate the dressing area from the bedroom area. Some Dis members have said this is very convenient if you have a little one in a pack n play because they can sleep in there where it's quieter.

POR has new princess themed rooms and the Magnolia Bend section of Port Orleans - Riverside has Queen beds.
POFQ has queens as well.

Thanks, that's some good info! We will have a little one, so it would be great to have her in her own separate area. :)

The only trouble with that area is that you have to walk through it to get to the bathroom! If you have a sound sleepr, it might not bother them. My four year old granddaughter really wanted to sleep under the bench for luggage in our room at POFQ--she made it into a little tent area!

CBR rooms seem quite large in comparison to the other mods. But - all of the other mods have queen beds, CBR has doubles.

We always feel less cramped when we're at CBR. The beachy theme is fun & enjoyable. It's clean. The food court is really nice. The overall theme of the resort leads to happy feelings, not meltdown status. :thumbsup2

Enjoy your vacation! :goodvibes

This is so adorable! She sounds like she has lots of personality.

CBR rooms do feel a bit larger. Between that extra 26 square feet of space over the other mods, and the double beds that take up less room, its just enough to help a bit.

We travel as a family of four with two teenagers. We take a twin sized airbed for our son and it fits in all the mods (and values for that matter) fine, but at CBR it worked out a bit better.

One other little thing that helped us was at CBR the trunk had a drawer for extra storage. At POR, it was a bench that just sort of got in the way until we started piling stuff on top of it! CBR also had five drawers in the dresser, at POR we had three. But that was pre refurb and the new dressers at POR might have more drawers.

We love all the mods and after our last stay at POR I swore I'd never stay anyplace else. But then we could only get free dining at CBR and that was too good to pass up. Glad we stayed there, it was wonderful!

I don't think you can make a bad choice at any mod resort. But the two year old would love that zero entry and pirate splash area (for little kids only) at CBR. The main pool at CBR is ideal for young kids.
