It's Back-January Trip-A-Day Contest!

Thanks for the post!

It would be SO amazing if we won and paid for our Feb trip. We would still have to cover getting there but AWESOME either way.

Praying for some
pixiedust:

Can't wait to see some DISers get the trip!
From following along on this thread the last couple years, I would say even if you do win it would be unlikely you would get to go in Feb. It took a while for winners to receive all of the info and pick dates and coordinate with Disney. (I never won, but winners posted when they received certain things from Disney and it seemed to be quite a process).
So if you win it would me an EXTRA trip!!!:cool1:

I am a little confused. Last year we were able to enter using our email...my husbands email & then mine. I dont recall having to log into our disney account to enter. This year I had to log into my disney account and enter. But both my husband and I are under the same disney account since our disney planner does all the arrangements for us as a family. So can only I enter? Or is there another place where those who dont have their own disney account can enter using their own email address like last year?

I'm guessing they changed the entry method this year to 1) get more people to sign up for MyDisneyExperience and 2) to decrease the potential for people to enter repeatedly under several different accounts. As far as I can tell, if your husband wants to enter separately, he'd have to create his own account.

It says per person/ email address. If you gave more than one email, can you enter each email?

"Entries are limited to one (1) Entry per person/email address
(“Address”) for each Daily Sweepstakes (except in the case of the Grand
Sweepstakes which includes a carry-over of all non-winning eligible Entries
for the preceding thirty (30) Daily Sweepstakes), regardless of method of
Entry or whether one person has more than one Address or more than one
person use the same Address
."

latest

Means "no."

So what if you try to enter and you get a message that says there are multiple accounts associated with this...etc. We are sending you an e mail to verify which account etc??? I didnt agree to get the e mail yet.

I am thinking its both dh and I and maybe the ds since everything is inked together and dh is the manager of the accounts? I didnt want to go any farther yet for fear I would mess it up and void the entry.

I thought DBF was "over Disney" but when I showed him pictures of the Castle Suite, he was really excited. He'd go again so soon after our last trip if it were free...entering daily with my fingers crossed.

I got the same message. Turns out there was a very old account that I had completely forgotten about from 2002, in addition to my current one. Both had the same email address. I had to select which account would be the primary account for the purposes of this contest. I assume if your family has multiple accounts on your email address, you will have to select ONE of them to enter the contest as well. It doesn't cancel the other accounts or restrict their use for other purposes.

HTH.

SWEET, finally Disney has recognized that Canadians should be able to enter these glorious contests :clown:

What do you mean, FINALLY?? I've had no problem entering the contest for at least the previous 2 daily giveaway contests.

However, our Quebec cousins are still out of luck. But that's not Disneys fault.

So excited for another contest and another awesome contest thread to follow! :wizard:

Thanks! I actually like this change this year so here is hoping for an increase in our chances of winning! maybe? One can always wish...

oh and on a side note...I would LOVE to hear from the winners last year about their trips! Any details they would love to share...it makes it more exciting to dream for us. :dance3:

I did not win a trip but my aunt did and we got to go with her. She took my dd's as her 3rd and 4th guests. Then my dh & our ds's went along but our trip wasn't free. It was discounted though :cheer2:

It did take quite awhile for you to be contacted by the person from Disney who coordinates your trip and to get it all planned out. In fact, my aunt wasn't even contacted until mid-Feb or so.

She got to choose from any WDW hotel except the DVC's. She chose the GF and was given a lagoon view. She was able to book another room through the agency that handled the promo at 40-50% off. We booked at the Poly so we would be close by but save a bit over the GF's prices. Sadly, the trips won last year did not include the stay in Cinderella castle. We stayed longer than the 4 nights so the other nights were charged at the discounted rate.

Oh and get this, my dh & I entered every day last Jan. My aunt only entered like 3 times :lmao: ANd she won! So you just never know!!

If anyone has any questions about how they do things, I can try to answer.

Wow, wouldn't that be nice? Cinderella's castle, too!

I wonder what happens if the winner has five in their immediate family? We have three kids--obviously couldn't leave one at home! If I won, I would be happy to pay the difference for one more; do you think that would be allowed? (Yes, I realize it's a chance in a million or more, but someone has to win. It would be heartbreaking to win then have no way to accept the prize.)

In the same boat. I guess though we'd have to cross that bridge if we won. Counting our chickens before they are hatched. Just now found this thread. Had started one on the Community Board because I did not know this one existed. It is so exciting!

I remember that was the case with several of the winners last year! Several came on and reported that they only entered a few times and forgot...maybe I shouldn't be so OCD about making sure to enter every day this year and I'll have better luck!

I know! I think one winner from last year had only entered once. I'm still going to be OCD about entering everyday and I know you will too :hyper:

There was a family that my aunt (who won a trip) kept in touch with and they were a family of 6 or 7. They chose AKL and got a second room there at a discount. For a family of 5, you would have lots of options since most (all) of the deluxes sleep 5. For park tickets, you'd need to purchase the ticket on your own. The people who manage the promotion told my aunt that they only get enough tickets for the number of winners and their 3 guests. So unless, they were able to work something differently than this last year, i am guessing you'd just buy any extra tickets yourself.
