What size card do you have? After you delete your pics, don't forget to format your card again after you put it back into the camera. The format function will be in one of your pages on the menu. You don't need to format the card every time if you don't want to, but you probably should do it after every 3rd or 4th time you've downloaded pictures and deleted.

The format function will remove all pixel memories that may be lingering on the card. I find that if I haven't done the format card thing that the camera takes longer to download the pictures from its buffer on to the card.
