Lol....I like the idea of a Bengal. What's the main (mane :scratchin) difference between pelt and fur?

I've never had a pet...not even a goldfish...but I think I'm more a dog person. I like that cats are more able to look after themselves...as in they don't need walking...but I think I'd prefer a dog...
If I got a dog it would be a Bassett hound.

Less sneezing with a pelt for people with allergies (like me),

Hmm, you got me thinking. I haven't seen dogs or cats for sale in a long time. In my mall the petstore closed 10 or more years ago. Pet Smart only has the cats for adoption and Petco might have puppies though I'm not sure if they are for adoption or buying.

I did have a GF who's parents breed show dogs, Jack Russel Terriers. Which I thought were better suited to kill varmits.

Jack Russell Terriers? They are pretty yappy dogs. I attracted one of those....and also a Collie (Lassie dog). The Jack Russell was really cute and I almost kept him....just too yappy. The Collie went to the RSPCA. It was definitely a show dog. When he got down from the car, he practically pranced into the RSPCA and by the time I left, the vet and one of the girls behind the counter was debating which one of them would get to adopt him.

Fish need clean water and food. And ample space to swim. But that is about it. They are relaxing to watch too.

I just killed my 4 goldfish/shubunken about 3 weeks ago. I had them outside in a half bath that was a legacy of the house when we renovated....I think something got in the water and killed them. I had those fish for well over 4 years. :sad1:

Sleep well everyone. We just finished dinner here....pasta two ways. Carbonara and Marinara. :thumbsup2

Gonna make a cuppa and sit and watch the telly.

I would be too. Mine were just gold fish and shubunken. The koi grow really big and I believe that some of the older ones in Japan are over a century old!

I felt bad for him to. Yeah I need to sleep. I need to get up early. So good night I will talk to everyone tomorrow.

Good night. I've starting typing up a recipe for the WFDT thread. So, I'll be on until I get it done and posted.

I figured as much...but a pelt would still molt I presume? Cat hair is something that would definitely be an issue. Allergies I assume is one reason we never had pets. Plus we did do lots of holidays growing up...
Oh....and my brother is somewhat terrified of them. I'm cautious.....but he emits fear to any creature.

Jack russels are very yappy....
My piano teacher has staffie terriors. She's always had at least one dog. Usually two. Always girls. I've known her about 24years I guess. When I was little she had Prue. I don't know if she was a staffie. I never asked. But she has always been in my memory bigger and fluffier than her later dogs.
As she was getting older she got Pamela. When Prue died it was like losing a family friend. She would always crash into you as you walked past.
Then as Pam aged she got Alice.
Then Sheila a few years back. Alice passed away a few months ago :(
Now she has a 12week old puppy. Not sure her name. But gorgeous.

I do understand what a wonderful part pets can play. But we just never had any.

I'm sorry about your fishy :(
Hope you get some more to play with.

I'll.....live.

Sadly, I can't say the same for the poor little fishy! :rotfl2:

I don't know if I'll get more. My white cat, Moses, has discovered the bath outside and I've seen him go fishing. I guess I'll just wait and see. For now, I'm going to let the water 'fallow'.

I'm okay. Trying to get into the swing of work again. It's turning out harder than I thought.

How's the ear?

How's the ear?

The ear is feeling better, not 100% yet, but definitely better. Saw the doc on tuesday, and he seems happy with how it's coming along. Another follow-up in 2 weeks.

Good news. So, did they get "it" all out and now you're just letting time pass for healing?

the doc says he got it all, so now it's all healing time. And at some point they'll test my hearing and see if that has improved at all. I've been hearing somewhat out of that ear again, so I know I can hear at least. It's just a question of how it compares to the hearing level I was at before the surgery.

DW still can't stand to look at the incision though. :confused3

it's not bad from the front. that ear still sticks out slightly more than the other one. you can only see the part of the incision if you look closely from the side, and you can see the whole thing if you are unlucky enough to be over my left shoulder. :rotfl2:

I have to try and get a haircut today, and that might make the uneven ear thing worse, but it needs to be done. Hopefully it won't be too bad because I have to videotape myself by tomorrow and I am self-conscious enough as it is.

Don't think about it. If you do, you'll just be more self-conscious than you need to be. Will you be able to shoot from the other ear or is that the side that the camera will focus on?
