But you can tell. Are people dying? How about animals and plants? There are signs that don't require a gieger counter to evaluate the conditions.

If it were so bad to effect you when you go there for a week, it would have already had a greater compounding effect on the residents.

Let's wait and see how many people die in 2 - 3 years from now. When Chernobyl happened, it took that long for the accumulative effect to manifest itself....and some of those people were there for a week.

And in the case of Chernobyl, the workers that remained? Most of them were dead within 6 - 12 months.

Well since our urgency of going (ie Gary Magetti was going to be there five years starting a year ago) has now been neutralized, we aren't going to worry about it. But eventually we do want to visit Tokyo Disney, we are just aren't going to push it anytime soon.

Me too. I wish I had gone a couple of years ago. DH went to Tokyo and I had the opportunity to go with; but chose not to. I think I can live with revisiting DLR and WDW and also going to see Paris, HK and eventually Shanghai in the interim. :rotfl:

Doesn't it seem like DLR has gotten better menu's in the last year? Perhaps it was his absence that allowed the change.

With CCT, and the Main Street restaraunt changes coming, perhaps he will do the first or replace, Chef Oscar?

No he's a suit, unless he decides that Oscar isn't doing a good job, but from what I read, everyone loves Oscar. He'll come back doing a suit job, not a trenches job.

I have a feeling that the menu changes were in the works in his tenure and that they finally got approved once he left, but he might have allowed the environment to flourish. Don't know, but he seemed to do a good job at the top. He was there for F&W, and probably had something to do with it going away. I hope he has something to do with it coming back.

I'm catching up on Disney movies today. TS3 was on earlier as was Freaky Friday...Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis version.

My right wrist is hurting. I accidently snapped it backwards a little bit too far a couple of weeks ago and there has been a constant throb since. Today, I think I strained it a bit too much when I was pruning the lavender. So, I've strapped it up and am hopeful that keeping the wrist relatively still will help a little. We'll see tomorrow.

It makes typing an interesting task!

Take care of your wrist, and keep you typing position in mind.

Really? You are just waiting for the concert with nothing else to do or think about? Well except sleeping.

Thanks. I'm hoping for an early night tonight and am feeling guilty that I haven't been out cycling today.

Might just need to go do 50 sit-ups!

I'm glad I went for a ride. It may not be long till they don't happen for months.

I hurt my wriste, well ligament(s) between my thumb and wrist, last December. Not sure how, I just picked up my skis like i always do and a little pain. Put them in the car after skiing a little pain. Tried putting on a shirt lots of pain. So I tried to be slow with that hand. Worked fine except when I would catch something. Last time it really hurt my sun glasses slipped off my neck and I grabbed them quickly out of the air. That was June. After that I didn't catch with the same hand at all. It hasn't bothered me in a couple months so I think I'm good.

Well...sort of. I still have Monday...but DS is back to school; so it is officially my first non-paid working day in 2 weeks.

Lots of posting since my last visit. I'd read them all, but I have already received my bed warning from Princess. It is 12:30am, so I will bid everyone ado. Hopefully, all is well with everyone. Will check back in a few days.
