I just figured out that if I pay an extra $50 every two weeks to my car loan I will pay it off in three years rather than four years! Wooohooo!

Or $1300 you could put away in savings toward your next car. That's how we paid cash for our latest car -- paid off the car loans early and then saved the amount we would have been making in payments until we could just buy a new car.

I'm very happy to hear about someone making positive progress on their debts.

The same is true for mortgages. We paid additional principal every month and cut our mortgage time in half.
