It's always sad when young ones leave the nest...

Even if the young ones are cockatiel babies. :(

Nicky and PeeWee just left us for their new home. One of them was adopted by an employee of mine and the other by her sister.

Although Nicky did leave me a nice souvenir. A big old scar on the knuckle of my thumb! :scared:

I guess the poor little guy was scared out of his feathers about being moved from his old home into the new one and he chomped down on my thumb with the force of a thousand bald eagles..lol

Amazing how fast something that was still in an egg only 10 weeks ago grew :) I'll miss their feathered little rumps but we still have Kringle, Beaker, Bumble and Cosmo with us. Plus *sigh* what was that I heard this morning? Birdie sex from mommy and daddy. :sad2: :rolleyes2

What, No pics????
They sure can bite hard, can't they?

Awwww! :( I would be sad too. We had 4 baby budgies last year and I couldn't even give up one of them.

One of our 3 cockatiels has real bad bumblefoot and he is not doing well. :( Ziggo can't fly and he can hardly stand at this point. He doesn't like for me to hold him much but I still do several times a day when I stroke his head and talk softly to him. He was such a friendly little guy and it's so hard to see him this way... :(
