It's almost time for our Trip

This is the first time in 17 1/2 years my wife and I have been married and the almost 10 years our son has been alive that we have gone on a trip other then to inlaws homes.

We leave next Wednesday (drive to Southern Alberta), then on Thursday drive to SLC, Utah, then on Friday drive to Vegas, then Saturday drive to Anaheim. We will be in Anaheim for 5 days and I know it is President's Day weekend but we are all thinking that on the Saturday, after arriving and maybe resting for a bit we will want to go to DL and/or DCA that afternoon/evening.

Do you all think we are crazy for wanting to go to the parks that day considering how busy it probably will be or would you go anyway? I just want to soak up the atmosphere and I am sure my son will be going nuts in anticipation.

I would just do it. Sat's are busy but DCA should be less busy than DLR. Might as well emerse if you have the hopper time for it.

Have a great time!! I would definitely go Saturday just to be there - as long as you are expecting it to be busy you should not be dissapointed!!

As the tickets go, my Mom was going to get 3 day Park Hopper but was told the 4th day was only another $20 so she got the 4 day instead so we have the extra day. Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at DL and Sunday at Universal.

Thanks for asking about my Mom. She is currently in the Hospital to get some more tests to get the diagnosis 100% confirmed. If it is what the doctor says (and he is about 95% sure) then it is Pulmonary Hypertension and it is incurable. There are treatments but on average it has a 3 - 6 year life expectancy after diagnosis.

Despite everything, she is as cheerful as she can be and she is pushing my Dad to go with us. He is not sure about it but she will probably get her wish, just like most wives.

I am sorry she is going through this right now. Please try to enjoy your trip as best you can and hopefully your Dad can make it. I know how stubborn moms can be, I am one after all!!
