Hey Y'all and welcome to my PTR:cheer2::cheer2:

This will be our first trip as a family and DD and I's first trip in 5 yrs,its DHs first trip in 12 and DSs first ever!! My DH doesn't get the whole planning thing so I am writing instead of talking to a deaf ear.:)

So I will start with the who, the why, the when, the where, and the how:

WHO-
here are the basics, we are a family of 4 DH (Donald), DD (tink), DS (Oso), and ME (minnie). Dh and I got married 3 years ago and tink got a new dad and we had Oso this past sept. So this will be our first family trip. I can't wait to finally have my family there. Tink and I with and with out my mother went several times when she was little. Then Tink started school and finding the right time wasn't as easy and we kept putting it off and never made it back. DHs last visit was on his honeymoon from his first marriage,12 years ago. SO he is due for a trip back. However they stayed at WL and I have let him know that but no uncertent means would we ever be staying at WL in the furture. While I wont write off Disney because of it returning to where your DH and ex wife had there honeymoon is just a no no in my book.

THE WHY
This is a bit more fun. We are going down for Tink and Oso's birthdays. They were born 8 years and 4 days apart so it will be Tinks 9th birthday and Oso's 1st!!! I can't wait. They are going to flip!!! Well at least Tink, Oso may or may not care we'll see.

When
Aug 22-27 (only 130 days) We are going the last week before Tink has to start school. (School really puts a damper in Disney dates) So we will be there 2 weeks before their birthdays but I don't think they will mind.

The Where

This one has change a bit. We started at the Poly, where I have stayed most of my life, but I was worried about how run down it was getting. When we were there just after the update last time it still seemed to be in need of some remodeling. So after a hard decision I switched us to the GF. All I could think of was walking in to the lobby as a child, smelling the flowers and hearing the birds (not relevant any more but.. ) That is what I wanted my children to remember but was afraid it would be out weighed by the negatives. So after talking and discussing We then went back to the poly. Good we were set, well for about a month. I still had qualms so we started over. Looked in to all the Deluxe resorts (except WL). We talked about the GF but Dh isn't really a fan its much more my style then his. So cross that one off the list then CR DH stayed there when he was little and I never had so sure its still on the monorail (which is a big plus in my book) but no rooms:scared1: So whats that leave? Well AKL for one that one was easy DH and I both feel its to far out of the way so scratch that one. So then it was an Epcot resort. So it was down to YC/BC and BWI then that was easy. The BWI pool scares me and can't hold a candle to SAB and we are more YC people than BC so YC it was!!!Ok we have the hotel but now its less than we budgeted for so then we had to decide what to do with the the extra money. We could put it away but I'm always against that:laughing: We could stay longer but DH was against that he thinks it would be to much for the kids and by the end of the trip no one would be having fun. I don't quite agree but he puts up with all my crazy ideas all the time so every once in awhile I have to listen to his:rolleyes1 So then I brought up doing CL thinking my Dh is going to flat out reject the idea....BUT no he said sure so here we are 5 nights, 6 days at the YC CL with the Deluxe dinning plan (whoo hoo)

Next installation the how: ressies and Surprises

We will be there the same time:banana: Plan away most likely when you get there and your DH sees the kids reactions, he will want to get more involved while you are there:goodvibes

Alright I'm back after a very long hiatus.

So a few this have change, we are now staying at the Grand floridian!!!! So excited. Also we have added a couple days :woohoo: 8 days and 7 nights at the world.

dinning plans are just about set a few tweeks still. Our Plane tickets are bought are trip is payed the kids have a brand new disney wardrobe :rotfl: complete with new Ariel, Rapunzel and Cinderella costumes. I am so in awe of the Ariel dress I found it is so fabulous I wish I had one. Lets see if I can figure out how to post a picture :confused3

Nope not yet I'll try again tomorrow I need to set up one of those photo account thingys
