I've booked 4/15-4/24: 2 days US/IOA, 4 days WDW, 2 "free" days, 2 travel days. I'm a teacher and can only travel during breaks so we are stuck with crowds. We have done WDW and can manage the crowds but are concerned about US/IOA. We are at our TS so no early entry for WWOHP. Any advice on what days may be least crowded. I'm thinking Tues or Wed for US avoiding the weekends. If it rains is US/IOA doable (we love WDW in the rain- everyone leaves and we are lonely:goodvibes in our raincoats!) Any and all advice is appreciated.

BTW primary focus is WWOHP.

Expect larger crowds than you've ever seen at Disney. If you go expecting to wait to get into the Wizarding World and then wait again for every ride and shop, you won't be disappointed.

Remember that everyone is going to the park for the sole reason of seeing the Wizarding World. It makes for some crazy crowds and less than patient people.

My best advice is to use the single ride's line on FJ and do the castle tour separately.

Wow, really, is it that bad? That's really discouraging. We will landing in Orlando on the 12th (to 22), with 4 days for US/IoA. Surely there must be some time we can go without having to stay at a Universal resort?

Your guess will be as good as anyone's here. The week after New Years was supposed to be slow but the crowds were very intense with waits to get into the Wizarding World and to get into every attraction within Wizarding World. Read the sticky about Harry Potter crowds (it is very long so you'll want to have some snacks with you, lol).

We just can't predict it anymore. With Easter being the 24th, it is going to be crazy.

My guess would be to go as early in your vacation as possible. From the 16th on, the park is open until 10, so they are expecting very large crowds. You might also want to consider doing Wizarding World after dinner and the rest of the parks early in the day if you go later in your vacation.

Oh, phew for me at least--I misread the OP, saw Feb instead of April. We will be there over the President's Day weekend, and I didn't think that was such a big deal. Is it? We don't have any stat holidays between New Year and Easter, at least in my part of Canada, so I always forget about President's Day. I've read bits and pieces of the crowd thread (it IS daunting, as you say), so I'm hoping the later in the day strategy is still working.

nah, shouldn't be as bad as Christmas and Easter. Check the crowd thread on how it was for MLK weekend. Should be about the same. We're there that week too.
