It's all about the shopping... with Wigd and Shocker

Here we go!

The next day we had an incredibly blue sky, a incredibly late start, but we had the car.
Where did we go?
I'll tell you this, we could have walked...

Here's a hint:

Turkey sandwich.
Banana split parfait.

OK DHS!!!

I had a hankering for Starring Rolls!!!

When we arrived the streetmosphere folks were in full swing doing their morning gig advertising the days attractions.

I stopped to visit with Melvin McCheesmo.
I needed to use his phone.
I needed to speak to Mr. Granite.
Mr. Stone Granite.
I had a question for him.
I wondered if he had a refrigerator.
Then I had to know if it was running......
Well you know how the rest goes.

This became a habit the rest of our trip.

Melvin has a name for me.
It's the "drive by prank caller":lmao:

Next we thought we would see if we could get a drawing class at the Art of Animation Class.
We drew Pluto.
I think mine looked like Gluto.

Here's a hint for those of you that like the class...

Take an empty Pringles can or mailing can to store your drawings in.
It will keep them protected until you get home.
Also....
Go up right after the class and speak to the animator.
Tell them that you enjoyed the class (if you did) they just may give you their drawing....
They did me anyway.

Next we rode with AeroSmith! We had fastpasses from a CM that got us and three others on the ride so we pixie dusted some others that were wanting to ride.

Here's some photos of the morning...

Then we went back to our Beach Club to get ready for our evening!

IMG_0750.png

We were heading out for a new adventure!!!
Stay tuned!

I hear ya on that one. I think the FULL moon may have had something to do with it.

Well since teens usually have their phone attached to them, the phone GPS is usually sufficient. The problem becomes when they turn it off or let the battery die. :rolleyes1
I know, but if this problem would just go away with the full moon I'd be happy....
I just wish Baylor would FIND his phone..:rolleyes1
[/QUOTE]

I'm with you BD!!!!!

I think Baylor has some Skunk Ape soap in his bathroom now smelling the place up. I was more than happy to open it up!;)

I met our friend Ros in the Beach Club lobby and Marc picked us up and we headed out, way out....
Into the Wilderness.
Ft. Wilderness that is.

We were treating her to the sleigh ride as her holiday treat, plus we had a basket of goodies from Basin for her birthday!

First though we had dinner at Trails Inn.
This is a buffet.
If you haven't eaten here. I'd say, it's ok, but don't go out of your way....
It was perfect for us though.
We had a reason to be there. The food was good enough.
Much of what they served was like the food at HDDR with more to choose from.
The fried chicken is good!

After we ate, we checked in for our sleigh ride.
They gave us pagers, so with a bit of time to wait, we wandered over to the trading post for some shopping.

Then it was time to ride!!!

Here are our pics!

The campgrounds were filled with lights and inflatables. It was amazing!

I'm having a stubborn computer again...
I'll post lights and inflatables when I can.
:sad2:

Wigd. I think you did an excellent job on your Pluto. Thanks for the tip about the can and asking for the artwork, I feel like we might do that this trip!!

Did you NOT ride TOT, you mentioned RnRC, but no word at all about TOT?? I mean without having to worry about Baylor in the dumpshop waiting, you didn't take advantage of being able to ride it over and over and over again?

I love that you shared the Pixie Dust, it was one of my favorite things about our trip, sharing unused FP with others and just watching them light up, knowing they weren't going to have to wait in a long line to ride one of the hot attractions!!

The carriage ride looks like it would have been a blast and I was thrilled that you allowed Shocker to ride with y'all (or at least sit in the seat for the picture!! ) I mean as much as he does for you, I figured he would have been sitting on the horse, riding it, or leading it around, so that you could have had a good time!! I mean, HE is all that......or so I have read!!!! :rolleyes1

Actually we didn't ride ToT that day, the line was long. There was other times believe me...
Baylor won't have anything to do with RnR either.
One of these days I hope he changes his mind.

Shocker did ride with us. We had a nice lady driving us around. She sang really nice too!

Yep. ::yes::

Thanks for the festive pictures, Wigd. We have seen all the decorations at Fort Wilderness, and we have eaten at Trail's End. We have not done the carriage ride, but I know it is something the girls would enjoy. We'll have to think about doing that on our Christmas trip. I'm wondering how many people will fit in a sleigh. Maybe I could let J, J, B, and B go, and I could hobble along beside them taking pictures. ;)

Those pillowcases are so cute! I guess I'll have to plan a cruise now. :rotfl:

How long is your Vero stay? We are thinking a few days of beach before WDW might be in order for summer 2012.

A sleigh ride sounds like the perfect way to spend the evening during the holidays. :cloud9:

Looking foward to your photos of the decorations around Fort Wilderness.

Here are my other pillowcases! I wish the Michael's had the blue letters and mine the red cause red is my fav color! LOL!:rotfl: I had left several colors of Sharpies and some candy and this is what I got! Some people end up with more autographs. I think they turned out good though.

I would love to do that sleigh ride one of these days, it looks like so much fun!

I hope things are better Anita!

You all have convinced me to get the E's pillowcases for the cruise! Now I just have to wait and see if she can do any of the Earflap characters, if not I have a backup plan. I am going to do a combo pocket for Jeff and I though on the FE.

I think it's hilarious that the DHS player gave you a "name". :rotfl: How many times did you do that with the cell phone???!

And how fun you went on a sleigh ride!! Sounds like a very, very fun night.

I love that the DHS player gave you a name! We really enjoy the Streetmosphere actors; DHS is my dad's and my brother's favorite just for them (well, them, and ToT and RnRC ;))

Thanks for the tip about the Pringles can for the artwork. We've never done it but I'd like to. And, the sleigh ride looks like so much fun! They do carriage rides around Faneuil Hall in Boston, but a Disney one would be so much more fun :cloud9:

:grouphug: for that aweful weekend. :grouphug:

I hope this week is better!

Love the carriage ride...I had no idea it was offered for the holidays. :thumbsup2

Must have been very pretty to see all the decorations.

I think I'm going to bring a matte frame or a 9" Vinylmation on the cruise instead of the pillowcase for the signatures.
I saw those ideas on someone's TR and they looked so cool! :)

Do we get to see your new Vera bag?

Oh yeah! I forgot about those. I did that too!:) I'll try to remeber to take a pic and post them. They are good souveniers!

I swear the creative genes go to the elementary school teachers - (prank calls with streetmospheres...who thinks of that?) Okay maybe that's why you are an elementary school teacher...bc you are creative!

Loved the updates!

I think the limit on the sleigh is four adults. I'm not sure what they would do about the girls. Maybe they would count as one big person....
I think they would really enjoy it too!

I think the pillowcases are a perfect reason to plan a cruise! Go for it!!

We are staying at Vero four nights after our cruise and from what I'm reading that isn't going to be nearly long enough.
After that we will drive back to Disney and spend three more nights in a 1br at Bay Lake.
The sleigh ride is really fun! I recommend it!
:goodvibes Sending good thoughts that you are having a good week .:goodvibes
Thanks! It's already Wednesday night, the week is flying by.....

I showed Baylor the pillowcase and he really liked it, so I was very pleased!
What are the earflap characters?
My upset feeling is better today. Let's see when it rears it's ugly head again...
just sending

Debby
Thanks Debby.

Oh I didn't use my cell phone, I walked up and asked to use their old time phone ...
Said I needed to call Mr. Granite.
Melvin played right along.
I asked Marc how many times he thought I did it over the trip and he said at least three or four, maybe more....
Every time we were in the park....

I think Henry would love that sleigh ride!

I can't wait to go back and pull the same prank call joke.
Baylor is going to be so embarrassed!

We are getting quite the collection of Disney drawings from the Animation Studio. We probably won't get the chance to draw this next trip because we will have Harper but in May/June we sure will!

The sleigh ride is certainly something to do when you are there at Christmas and have a little extra time!
:grouphug: for that aweful weekend. :grouphug:

I'll have to get the new Vera out of it's bag and take a picture!
Hmmmm, that 9" vinylmation sounds like something I might look for to take on the cruise too! Thanks for sharing that idea!

We had the best time on the sleigh ride! So fun and relaxing!
Oh yeah! I forgot about those. I did that too!:) I'll try to remeber to take a pic and post them. They are good souveniers!

Thanks, I guess we have to be on our toes to keep our students wondering what's up next!
Do you think he'll fall for the Prince Albert in the can prank call then next time?:rotfl2:
