It's all about the shopping... with Wigd and Shocker

It was bad, but still not bad enough for me to want to stick to Disnsey transportation.
Just another lesson learned.

Wow you are on a roll this weekend. While I was typing to my Buddy you were doing another update!! YIPPEE!!!! Sounds like having a rental (when you fly down) is a great idea to me, allows you to explore the lay of the land so easily!!

Sounded like another Magical day, even when you were off property!! Looking forward to more.......especially.......lessons learned!!

Do lots of people decorate like that in your neighborhood at home?

Not really, we live on 5 acres at the end of a dead end road. There are about 10 homes on our street, a couple people put up lights but we get so little traffic out here that it's just not worth it. There is a house not far from us that has thousands lights choreographed to music though, it's pretty cool!

You've been on an updating roll! I loved all the parade pics, but is it just me or is Bo Peep a little creepy looking?

Did you ever figure out who the basketball player was? I don't recognize him & I called Justin in to look at the pic and he wasn't sure who he was either. I'm going to have to go look up their roster, cause it's bugging me

You don't have Chick-Fil-A's in Wichita? Really? They are EVERYWHERE here!

You are right BD, I am on a roll, I need to go to the grocery store but I'm going to do one more update!!!

It will be a quick on because it was moving day.
Time to leave our home sweet home, Beach Club.

The weekend points were outrageous! So to avoid that cost we moved over to POR on Christmas Eve.

First thing in the morning we packed up and loaded everything up in the car.
I was expecting a package so we walked over to Yacht Club to see if it was there yet.

Package pick-up is at the conference center. The fedex delivery hadn't been there yet so we wandered...

Then down to the gift shop!

I was on a mission for Laura to find some earrings for Laura's Em, so I posted these pictures on FB.

We checked back and the package had arrived so off we went!
It was much too early to check in so we headed to the outlet mall again!

This time I took some shopping pictures!

Again there was a long line at the Coach store....

But we were headed back to the Disney outlet.

Some of the prices are great in here and some not so good.
Some of it is in the parks right now and there isn't any discount at all.
This is a pretty good sampling of what they had.

We also stopped in the Crocs outlet, I found some shoes for Harper and her Mimi....
Then we passed by this place. I had to go in and look around.

I came out empty handed but it was fun looking around.

As we walked back to the car I spied Sleeping Beauty?!? Sawing logs in this coin operated chair.

We decided that it was late enough to head over to POR after grabbing Chik Fil A we were on our way!

We arrived, I hung out in the lobby as Marc checked us in.

He came and told me that our room was ready just as a special visitor had arrived.
It was Christmas Eve, so we said hi!

We were in a Bayou room, I had hoped for a Mansion but we were very happy with our location, we had a corner room so great windows!!

We settled in and out we went, we had some lights to see and we thought Christmas Eve was just the night to do it!
Oh yea, we took the car.

After we spent time enjoying Osborne Lights we made our way over to our dinner reservation at HBD.

We really enjoy going to HBD, I used to worry about going in and just ordering a salad, dessert, and an occasional appy.
The servers have always been super nice so we just stopped worrying about it.
They had always brought out bread before the salad.
Not this time.
Hmmmmmm.
Anyway.
We enjoyed our meal.
We sat across from an elderly Jewish couple that were telling the server about their customs. It was so interesting.
We ended up having a nice conversation with them too!

I had a view of the corner unless I looked to my left.

Then that was it for the night.
Back to POR we went and we watched some TV. Talked to the kids back in Kansas. Then went to bed.

I think I'll let Marc tell about the rental car drama that happens the next day.

It really was a great day! I was so looking forward to visiting Dundee! Even though it's know as a tourist trap I loved every minute of it!

According to my ticker we leave 3 weeks from today. I need to get this done. I'll have wedding prep taking up my time and we have a special visitor coming in a couple of weeks from Texas!

The only Chick Fil A we have is on the WSU campus and it's a pain to get to, they have bad hours, and a condensed menu.
They aren't open when I'm off work!

Your room at POR is really cute. Nice view of the pool. I love that resort. Cynthia and I staying there before we transfer over to BCV (point poor and all that, though hopefully slightly richer if my contract passes). We wanted to stay in a mansion room, but I think that room is really cute.

I have watched the Osborne Family lights on u-tube numerous times....it seems like such fun. Another reason to think about a Christmas trip, I suppose?? There are several places around here that do thier homes up for Christmas and set it to music, but nobody can do it like Disney does!

I hate that Shocker didn't jump in Santa's lap for the picture, now that would have been a "magical moment" for all, if he had!!!!

It truly looks like the two of you are (had) a blast and I am really enjoying the trippie!!

Don't tell SoonerGirl, but she isn't the only one that thinks Little Bo Peep looks a little creepy, even some of us "men" took double look at that picture!!

Finally, thanks for all the shopping pictures.......now if I could only decide what item to put on my list of must haves!!!! Hummmmmmmmm???????

I wouldn't mind being over in the mansions next time we stay there, possibly next Christmas after the big kids leave....

I think we didn't get the bread because we didn't order an entree. It's never happened before, but that was ok, we missed the bread but we survived!
I think it was over 100 pts just for that weekend! No way was I doing that!!!

I think there is another outlet but I don't know where it is....
Our trip is right after the wedding. We leave to drive to KC the next day, spend the night there and fly out Monday!

We really did have a nice room at POR.
I think you could take a taxi over to the outlet, it's not far from Disney at all, that would be much less expensive than a rental!

The rental story will have to wait for another day. I'm all updated out...

Rental car drama?!!!! For the record: I'm sooooo glad we drive and use our vehicle to get around. I don't think I could do Disney transportation, even though the majority of people love using it. On our November trip we were driving back to Pop one night and passed a bus that was jam packed full of people. Clay said "Man...I'd hate to be on that bus." I looked over and was . I would have hated being on that bus.

Dundee of Davidson isn't hard to find at all, I'm sure we will be making another stop when we are there in June!
The Disney Outlet is at the outlet that is closest to WDW Premium Outlet I think....

We are going to be some of those folks crowded on there in a few weeks!
We have to fly because it's a short trip and no rental car this time. No carseat for Harper so it's Disney transportation for us....
The only good thing about it is she will really enjoy riding on the buses!
