We're back.

The TR is started here:
http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2254759

And the dining report is here:
http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2254790

My fiance and I just got engaged in Disney this past August, on the beach of the Polynesian. You can read about it in our TR.

Now, we're going back for our Honeymoon.

Who: Me and my fiance, Nic.
What: Our honeymoon!
Where: Disney's Polynesian Resort! WOOHOO! plus one night at All Star Sports
When: August 2nd-10th, 2009.
Package: MYW w/ Deluxe DDP

We joke that our honeymoon is going to be centered around two things. One's the food. I'll let you figure out the rest. :rotfl: But we'll leave that second thing out of the TR, I promise.

I am still shocked that I convinced my wonderful fiance to not only let us go to Disney, but to let us go all the way with the DxDDP. I guess it's not all the way, since there's Platinum and Premium, but we're not crazy. Much. Hahaha.

This trip, we're leaving out son at home. After all, it is OUR honeymoon. We love him, but it wasn't even a question for us.

We're going to get a standard Garden View room. We figure that we're happy with that, and we'd rather pay less and upgrade to DxDDP. Of course, we have a hope we get upgraded, but we're not planning on it, and we're definitely happy in a Garden View.

You guys'll probably get a few wedding updates here and there, I'm sure.

Oh yeah! That's right! You're doing it too! Can't wait to hear about it. Speaking of dining, I think it's time for a real update about dining!

Well, we're going to have 15 dining credits. So, we basically copied the complete restaurant list from wdwinfo, and just started ruthlessly axing all counter services and places we'd gone, but decided against going back.

Then, we still had a huge list. So, next went all the places that didn't take DDP. Duh.

Then came places that we just knew were "No"s. Food that we didn't like, and stuff like that. Like, Cali Grill. 2 TS + Sushi = Big no from Nic. Tokyo Dining, because we knew we were going to Teppan Edo.

Then we axed out things at resorts that we knew we didn't want to go to. For example, Boatwrights. We knew we didn't want to go back to POR (we did a carriage ride), since we weren't staying there or anything. Or Boma and Jiko, because we may not go to Animal Kingdom this trip, let alone AKL. Plus, neither of them had good-sounding food.

Then we went through menus and anything that didn't have things that didn't sound good got axed.

Then, we've kinda been looking at prices. Mediocre places we might want to try, but are very inexpensive TSs, for the most part, got crossed off. We figure we can go back when we aren't on the DxDDP or even the DDP.

Here is our current short list (T=Table, C=Counter, 2=2credit, -=something else):

Magic Kingdom Dining:

2 * Cinderella's Royal Table
C * Columbia Harbour House (If we do KTTK tour)

Well, we were looking at ideas for some activities to do.

First of all, tours. Well, of course we want to do the Backstage Magic tour! Oh, wouldn't that be nice! Unfortunately, that's $200/pp! So, we'll probably just stick with the KTTK tour, which I'm still totally excited for!

Other ideas for a tour:
Undiscovered Future World
Family Magic Tour

Also, we think we'll use that mini-golfing certificate that comes with the package. But, I'm not sure which of the two.

We may do a fireworks cruise, but probably not, due to cost.

We decided to also do a tea at GF.

We will be eating at many of your ADR choices during our trip. I am planning on doing a dining TR and regular TR when we get back (or if really crazy during our trip Live TR) so stay tuned.

That's good. It'll be nice to hear some reviews.

I still need to finish my Dining TR.

I thought about doing a Live TR, but we figured that it was an easily saved $50 to not get internet, plus, I think we'll be busy doing other stuff. :woohoo: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Awesome. I can't wait to read your reviews! :goodvibes

I've been obsessing over the Dining Review board, lately.

A little update on the wedding side of things:

I bought my dress! Last Saturday. Yay!

Also, we had our engagement party. It was a lot of fun! We went to O'Charley's (one of Nic and I's favorites).

Also, not wedding or honeymoon related, but our little man is turning one next week! YAY! On Monday.

Your dining choices look great!! We ate at a couple of those places, CHH was VERY good, we loved their french fries. We also really liked 50's. Hopefully I'll get through my TR very quickly. I also plan to do a food report, but I can't handle both at the same time! :lmao:

CONGRATULATIONS on buying your dress, share pics!!!!!! And on Jacques turning one! I almost cried at Henry's party, but we had a lot of fun. He's almost 15 months now and such a big boy! It's crazy how quickly it's gone lately.

Thanks :) I think so too! :rotfl: I hope CHH is good. It sounds good. We ate at 50's this past trip, and loved it! I hope so too! I want to hear about it all! Food reports are fun, but I'm still not done with mine! :surfweb:

Yay! I know! So exciting! I shared pics on the fridge swap I did for this past trip, but didn't here, yet, did I?

All the pictures of me and my dress choices are on there.

The cake we chose is actually a Disney cake from their Wedding Cake CD. :goodvibes

I can't believe how old the boys are getting! Remember way back at the beginning of the year when we were starting PTRs and they were little! :sad2:

I've gotta run and get doughnuts and then I have an update. Yay! :cool1:

Hi Summer,

Long time no DIS! i just took a quick look at your biopage. Everything looks great. Just wanted to throw out another suggestion for the guest book. A family memebr used a black and white photo of the couple and put a mat around it. All of the guests signed the matting. i thought it was pretty cool.

(This would depend also on the number of guests-but still a cool idea.)

Happy planning and we'll all be watching:yay:
