The food discounts for Passholder Appreciation Days are surprisingly good. I'm way down here at the Power Pass level, and not only do the food discounts apply in the parks, but it's 20% off when using mobile ordering. I had a strange interlude with the Red Oven Pizza Bakery earlier this week when the cashier insisted that my loser pass didn't get me food discounts outside the hotels (which, to be fair, is usually true). A supervisor came over and backed her up! When I politely asked them to scan my pass and the discount came up, they were surprised. This also worked well in snack situations, e.g. I mobile-ordered a fruit cup at Today Cafe and got 20% off.

If you're not a fan of mobile ordering for any reason, keep in mind that you can now use a Universal gift card as the payment method. This is a recent change starting this year, I believe, which brings Universal up to par with Disney which has been allowing GCs on mobile orders for years.
