A kid in my store yesterday was complaining about the selection of indie movies, then said, "Well, that's Spokane for you."
Um, our store has three racks of new indie release, plus a large selection of older indies and foreign films.
Additionally, a quick look at the movie schedules in town reveals three indies in one theater and two at another, for a total of four indies in major theaters. Not to mention the smaller theater that ONLY shows indies/foreign films.
I thought about telling him to move to Oklahoma or Mississippi, where we didn't barely even got indies in the rental store - and NEVER saw them in the theaters.
And I'm just happy there's more than one theater in town!
