This day is not going as planned. I was doing laundry and accidentally knocked a full container of liquid laundry detergent onto the tile floor. It splashed and created about a six foot size circle of detergent. I cleaned it up and I have diluted it down with a ton of water about eight times, but there is still a film of soap on the floor, not to mention it is slick like an ice skating rink. To add injury to the insult I dropped my cell phone into a sink full of water and it is no longer working, so I can't call for backup. So does anyone has any idea how to get laundry detergent film off the floor?

I turned it on right away and the phone never did work after that.

Now the hard wood floor underneath can only soak up just so much stain.... the padding under the carpet worked like a sponge radiating outward with the excess... and when you step on it??? ..... well ... are you getting a picture here?
