It's a Tropical Depression

We just had our first Tropical Depression...4 days before the start of Hurricane Season.

Any thoughts on if this will be a busy season this year?

Tropical Depression?

Is that the feeling of sadness and gloom that we're all experiencing after all raid we've gotten the past week?

No, the 'Tropical Depression' you are talking about is the one you feel when the Disney boat is pulling away from Castaway Cay and you are waving goodbye to the best day on your cruise. :lmao:

Oh no, a tropical depression is that feeling you get after drinking WAY too many fruity drinks.

I saw something on CNN recently that they estimated the hurricane season to be a mild one.

We've had so much rain here in Orlando you could drive a cruise ship through my yard! pirate:

I hope we get a good storm this year. Fay was just really annoying. I haven't rode out a good storm since I left Miami.

Bite your tongue! I went through Hurricane Wilma alone in my apartment and I never want to go through that every again. I live on the 33rd floor and the whole building was swaying back and forth worse than the Disney Wonder!!!

I hope all the storms stay out at sea and away from land.

I grew up in Miami. I've rode out every storm at home. And well i'm not crazy enough to live on the 33rd floor...

Andrew, Rita, Wilma, Katrina.... of course there was that one huge hurricane in like 99 that was supposed to hit us and at the very last minute turned north and hit the carolina's. And we had beautiful sunny weather the entire day because the storm kept all the rain out to sea.

I like them... I don't mind when the power goes out. It helps living in a lower income neighborhood too... fewer people who can afford generators to ruin the peaceful and quiet nights. That was one thing about Wilma... nearly 2 weeks of peace and quiet and being able to look up at the stars even in the middle of the city.
