It's a Small World

I'm going to Disney the last week or so in March. Will It's a Small World be re-opened by then?

Officially, Disney is only saying it will reopen in Spring 2005.

It's possible. I remember reading March 15 somewhere but it was a while ago.

Hopefully, it will reopen some time in March, but no official date will be set until much closer to project completion. I wouldn't plan a trip around it, but know that it might still not be open when you are down.

I wonder how much renovation will be done to the ride. I don't remember it looking that rundown, just older-looking, but that was half of its charm.

They are putting a giant Stich in the middle of it and calling it a new ride "It's a Giant Stich World"!!!!

The entire load/unload area is being changed so that the attraction can be more fully accessible to guests with disabilities, lots of scenery has been completely rebuilt, brand new audio and lighting systems will make for a more impressive experience, and all of the dolls are getting new costumes. Think of it as *It's a Small World, Digitally Remastered Special Edition*

I'm going to miss It's A Small World on our Jan trip its one of my favorites because it's such a classic, I guess that just means I have to return soon to see its renovations.
