In my notes I have the following tips for" it's a small world", and I am wondering if any of them are STILL true

1 - In one of the last scenes, there's a balloon and one of the dolls in it is holding a sign saying 'HELP!
2 - Check out Cleopatra winking when you get to Egypt! (She's the one on the barge.)
3 - It is said that every 15 minutes there will be a surprise involving the clock

I was just at Magic Kingdom yesterday and I never knew about the clock. Every 15 minutes, toy soldiers, various animatronics, etc come out of the clock. It's only open for a short time, so make sure you catch it.

They were all there last time I rode it (Back in, I believe, 2009 or 2008). I'm pretty sure Cleopatra and the Clock are still doing there things now, and so most likely the doll in the balloon is still there. I remember that one to be a clown, so I didn't pity it much (Hate those things!).

Cleopatra

Clown w/ the Help Sign (Notice how sad he is, must be the music driving him nuts)

And here is the clock opening up to reveal the time:

The clock's opening isn't as elaborate as Disneyland's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UayTcL3lAM) which has a parade of dolls and lots of fanfare, but it's still cool.

Pretty sure the HELP! clown is gone, but the other two are still there. (Or, in the case of Cleo, back -- she was MIA for a few months there!)

There's been an amazing amount of refurb done on IASW this year, lots of fresh paint and dolls that have disappeared for short amounts of time. Glad to see it getting some TLC! :)

Best tip I can give for "It's a Small World," is to NOT ride it more than once on any given trip.

The likelihood of that hideous song being stuck in your head for days after increases exponentially with each trip down that river of doom.

You're welcome.

another way to not have the song stuck in your head is to have the 2 little kids behind you say "mommy look at this" "mommy look at that" "mommy..." I think last week was the first time I actually didn't even hear the song :lmao:

My boys and I tease my husband that this is his favorite ride ever! My husband had us ride it numerous times on our last trip to get out of the heat. By the end of the trip, my older son would groan if we even got near the building! lol I am one of those people that get all weepy over the reactions of the kids but again, by the end of the trip I am pretty sure I nodded off on the ride! :rotfl2:

There's also a few hidden Mickey's. the ones we always see are in the jungle scene...there are what look like vines, and one is green Mickey shapes.

Also, the HM and IaSw are considered one building complex.- or at least they were. In the first scene are chess pieces. If you look on the roof of the HM, you will also see what look like chess pieces. It is said....that real ghosts like repetition...
