It's a Small World - Scouts/Volcano

DH is on the committee for scout summer camp, and they want to build a volcano in the dining hall. He's thinking of red streamers with a fan underneath for the flames, and maybe a fog machine. Then he said that the volcano in one of the rooms of IASW was pretty neat, but he can't remember exactly how they did it. (Maybe the Philippines room?) Do any of you remember, or better yet, have a picture that you can post? Thanks!

I am pretty sure the flames of the volcano are done with satin or sik ( or similar) fabric that is blown from below by a fan or blower of some kind. It is similar to the flames in priates of the Caribbean.
