Last night we had a family meeting and suprised the kids with yet another trip to the World in only one month from now.

After years of travel to all kinds of exotic places (I'm a TA in my spare time), we finally tried a Disney trip in February 2009 for 5 days off property and then a Disney Cruise. This was with extended family (12 of us). Our family of four loved it so much, we booked 4 more days at AKL and went immediately from the ship back to WDW!

Last September, we suprised the kids by driving over 2200km from the Toronto area to Orlando, we managed to keep them distracted from where we actually were thinking that we were going to a wedding. We arrived one night early so we stayed at an off property hotel for the night. Things were ALMOST ruined by some kids talking about Disney World in the pool. I yanked our kids out and back up to the room... I was NOT a popular dad at that point. The next day, we got in the car I setup a movie and got them preped for what they thought would be another long day in the car. 10 minutes later as we pulled off the freeway onto the access road, we said... "Hey Kids, What's that up ahead!?" The entrance to the park! They freaked and we have it all on video. 11 nights between AKL, Saratoga and Poly with a suprise visit from their grandparents halfway through.

So 18 days of Disney is probably enough in a year right? NOPE... We're booked for 10 more days in mid-April at Saratoga and Wilderness Lodge. We're flying this time, but of course there has to be a suprise, we're joined halfway through the trip by their other grandparents and my youngest brother (11) as they come off a cruise.

I think we are now officially Disney-aholics!

You will love April in the parks. The Flower & Garden show at EPCOT is fabulous - the toparies are beyond belief. Weather is great.

That is so great....congratulations. We are the same way. We went to Disney last March for Spring break for 10 days, then my DH surprises me with another Disney vacation (kids included) for another 10 days because he knew I had always wanted to see Disney done up for Christmas, plus my B-day is in December. Then on New Years Eve, my DILs suggested going on a trip with us because they are both off the same time as my kid's Spring Break, so where was the suggested place? Disney, so we are booked to go back in 5 days for a week (shortest stay as of yet). Then a couple of weeks ago my DH and I were watching t.v. and some sort of Disney commercial came on, looks over at me and says to pick out a couple of resorts that I would like to stay in and we will book another trip for September :cool1:. So we are booked for another trip for 8 days staying at CR Tower MK View and surprising our kids with this trip (plus this will be our first time going to MNSSHP). And if that is not bad enough, we are in the very early stages of planning another trip with very good friends of ours who have never been before and will probably will not be returning (financial reasonings) so we are looking at May 2011 and staying at the BC. We are going to try to make that vacation the most magical one for their family :goodvibes.....Whew!!!! I am out of breath after that :goodvibes. Have a magical trip!

i too, am starting to feel as if it's an addiction! i start planning for the next trip as soon as i return from one. already thinking about going in november and haven't even left for April vaca yet. ah well... it's all in good fun :)

This is off-topic, but I must ask... How do you get to be a TA? I think I would enjoy that job tremendously considering how I love to plan trips! :goodvibes I wouldn't even mind if it wasn't my trip (well maybe a little:rotfl2:)!

Congrats and have fun!!! My son told me the other day that I was addicted to Disney!!

You are a god. hehe
Big congrats!! That is an amazing sequence of events and memories that you will carry with you (as well as new ones to come) forever....just think, when you are old and weary, you can go back and think to those times and revel in those memories......we're so lucky nowadays to have digital pics and videos for this purpose!
