This is a LATE PTR, but I NEED to share. It is not a WANT at this point anymore.

My hubby and decided to take the trip after him having a couple free flights, free dining, and the fact we are moving further from the Mouse.....Texas.

But we decided to surprise our girls-DD11 and DD9. It's gonna be a birthday/Christmas thing.

I have never been on a WDW vacation that I couldn't SHARE info about or with anyone out loud at least!!

I mean, don't get me wrong, we are having too much fun rubbing in a Keys trip to them that we TOLD them we were taking alone, for our 40th(DH in Oct and me in Feb'10). I mean, parents gotta get away sometime, dont'cha think???;)

We plan on telling them when we get to the airport-goodie bags in hand and ready for the Mouse! The plan is for my BIL to drive our van to the airport and bring it and them back to his moms-except they are REALLY coming with us.

The conversation about the surprise is envisioned by my hubby as something like this......:cloud9:(at the airport being dropped off BTW)

DH- hey luv, I really wanna take a family trip before the move, lets change destinations......

ME- umm, no way I wanna see dolphins and blue water (yeah I get to be the bad guy, what's new)

DH- aww, cmon, lets go to Disney World!

Kids hopefully screaming -YEAH MOM!

ME- ok, lets go to Disney World, alrighty?(b/c they KNOW I am a WDW sap) get your bags.....

KIDS( screaming or dumbfounded, not sure yet)

DH- get their bags!

:cloud9:

Our ONLY worry is DD9 is a tiny anxious about flying, but she always says she'll do it for WDW. I am only worried about that. DH says to keep up the charade, it is only a 90 minute flight, she'll be okay. SO, I am bringing Calms and some Benadryl for her. Getting to the airport an hour ahead of time will give it enough time to take effect. I hope this isn't bad parenting and I won't be reported, especially b/c I homeschool-God forbid the wrong person hear about this! But to those naysayers about homeschooling, just know we started in JULY b/c I knew we'd miss some schooling due to the trip and our move. And check out my kids SAT's- beleive me , we are all good! I am like any other proud mama whose children have scored well on a National Standardized test!

So, on to the intros:

Lori-ME 39,mom, wife, homeschooler for 6 years and prn cardiac sonographer, loves the obvious, Destin, my hometown(NOLA), and is detesting selling our home(PITA) for the move to the Houston area(???), loves her church family, enjoys her kids very much being home, detests the dynamics of working in a cramped area with other women who detest working in a cramped area, LOVES to learn with the kids(history is MUCH more fascinating NOW)

DH39(hitting 40 VERY soon!)-hubby, dad, audit manager , LSU- Saints- Cubs- NASCAR(Tony Stewart) fan. Don't mess with his Tigers especially! Loves Fast Money, Mad Money, and anything that talks about stocks and the market (but not too liberal).

DD11-12 in December, cancer survivor, very empathetic yet SO 11 kid. She is my tall blonde and loves all the Harry Potter books/movies, loves to sing almost anything(it annoys the younger one and the reason for "no singing zones' in the house), and is an avid learner. She loves choir and reading too, and knows my faults pretty darn well-esp when it comes to Mickey.

DD9(10 in October), sibling of a cancer survivor, very much my baby getting big, wonderful imagination, would rather listen to books, LOVES horses(the smell-she loves the smell of a farm), took riding lessons for a while and will look into that again in Texas, loves choir and acting(in the comfy of her own home) and has beautiful curly hair that she daily covers with sassy hats. She may ditch them in WDW's heat. We'll see. She has a very giving heart, but is also very stubborn! She also knows my soft spot ofr Mickey and think it is getting passed on....

More later......

27 days!!!!!:cool1:

I am USUALLY pulling out the old luggage by now for any other WDW trip. I usually make sure it is cleaned out and the tags are attached and sometimes find things in them from previous vacations-like a little sand from the beach, or a pamphlet from Houston, or even a leftover unsused Dollar Tree rain poncho from a WDW trip!
I am thinking I can hold off for another week on the luggage, and my DH is wonderful about keeping up laundry-I am VERY blessed!

Also, we found out yesterday that my aunt and uncle who live in Gainesville are meeting us for dinner while we are there.

They will be joining us at DD at Capn Jacks.... a place i haven't been since I was 16! It may have been called something different then though!

I will give my itinerary in the next few. We have a garage sale tomorrow and since I homeschool, I gotta GO!
