It's a Marshmallow World...at New Year's!The End! Future trip?? 7.21.14 Update

Haha, yeah, April 1 looked a little different here. :cold:

I love seeing pictures around POP, but MY GOD it makes me "homesick".

I adore the early morning in the parks. I can't help but get completely energized.

It goes from hot to cold here...but at least it is mostly warm. I am really ready for warmer weather. I can't imagine you guys having so much cold!!!

I know the "homesick" feeling...:sad1: Mornings are just so great!!

Fun times in Epcot.
I never good pics on Nemo either.
Nice Figment pics.
Too bad you missed the opening show. I have never seen it but one day maybe.
LOL at the strollers joke. I can see how it would get nasty between people there.

Thanks on the pics!! The opening show is just one of those little things and I miss not seeing it! I hope you can catch it one day!

Yea, those strollers were causing quiet the scene!! :rotfl2:

All caught up!

I can't wait to see the CP again! I saw it with Whoopi Goldberg a long time ago and I am really hoping to see Neil Patrick Harris!

Great updates can't wait to read more!

Hooray for being caught up! It seems to be one of the hardest things for me! NPH would be awesome to see! Hopefully this year will be your year! :goodvibes

 It's 35 degrees here still. Spring is a myth!

Awww, bored pictures. I think waiting "outside" for people makes you think they're going to move faster. I find that it doesn't work. :rotfl2:

Early morning is the absolute best. I have to admit though, I struggle with getting up that early. But when I make it, I remember why it's worth it.

The last few days, spring has been a myth here too! It is 85 one day and then 55 the next. I'm just ready for one thing or the other! Preferably 75-80 and sunny! :thumbsup2

I think waiting outside for people is the same as watching a pot to boil...it just takes longer and longer!

Early morning is a challenge so many days! 7am opening was just impossible!!

Sorry to hear you didn't make the opening show @ MK.

But, you can't just leave us hanging as to what happened this day! Well, I guess you can because you did. :lmao: I am very interested to hear what happened on this day.

I keep saying "next trip" on the Welcome Show and still I fail...but I AM determined!

I have been a bit slow and with the cliffhanger...sorry! :scared: We leave Friday morning for Universal and things have been so hectic! I'm going to give it a try right now for a little update!!

Plans Become a Fantasy

After our great adventures times two on Space Mountain, we headed towards Fantasyland. Chris wanted a cinnamon roll and chose to go in search of one rather than doing what Madison wanted to do. So I sent Chris is the direction of Gaston's Tavern and Madison and I headed here:

The Wait Time was stated at 25 minutes but we trudged ahead. A few pictures of the queue area:

5 to 10 minutes later (how long does it take to walk through the queue area? Well, it was that length of time!) we are at the end of the line and ready to load up!!

And then we were off on our little voyage under the sea!!

Madison and I took a "selfie" and you can tell Madison isn't as perky as usual...

And we sing along to all of the songs as we "swim" along...

We finish with our ride and set out in search of Chris. The day was very cool and gray. The forecast so far was NOT what was happening!! It wasn't supposed to be cloudy and definitely NOT as cool! Everyone was talking about how wrong the forecast was! Had we known...we would have brought jackets but instead, we were just very chilly!!

They had Christmas decorations up in this area as well. I liked how understated they were!

Continued in the following post...

Inside Gaston's we enjoyed a cinnamon roll and Chris watched us eat since he'd devoured his already!

It was my first time inside Gaston's and I really liked the decor!

And the fireplace all lit up added a nice touch on this chilly day!!

We headed out of Gaston's and decided to try something new to us: Enchanted Tales with Belle!!

There was a little wait...around 20 minutes or so.

Belle had decorated for the holidays as well!

And I simply love the details Disney puts into everything!!

We piled into our little room...

And then the mirror magically changed...

allowing us entrance to the castle! And then the cast was selected which was a very cute process.

We really enjoyed this from beginning to end! This is super cute even though we were all "grown-up"!

We decided to move towards Haunted Mansion.

This was new to me...not sure if it has been around a while or not. There was a PhotoPass person here but we didn't stop long enough to get a picture. Madison had started feeling poorly in ETwB and we were trying to get her taken care of...:worried:

So a quick picture here and also a still fairly empty Fantasyland:

Madison needed a break and I sent her off to sit for a spell. (I knew this was a motion/nausea issue and not an illness so no innocent people were being exposed.) Chris and I went on a ride she really dislikes. And I will leave it at that for now, but I really didn't realize how intense this ordeal would get!

20 minutes for Enchanted Tales is REALLY GOOD. Especially at that time of year. Plus you get to see more than with FP+ as I've since found out.

HOLY COW Cinderella's coach. I definitely haven't seen that out ever except maybe during parties. Really cool.

Great update!

I just love New Fantasyland! It is such a great addition to the parks!

Thank you for all of the great pictures!

The time built pretty quickly after we got in line (this was about 9am when the rest of the park was opening) so I'm glad we jumped in when we did! Cinderella's coach was so cool! Had Maddie felt better I think we would have gotten a picture!

Glad you enjoyed the pics! I think they have done such a fabulous job on the additions! I can't wait for the mine train!!

Hello!! I have returned from my Universal trip!! What a great time we had!! And now, I am going to actually update his TR!!

Lots of Going...and Stopping...and Trying to Go Again!!

I left off last time with Madison not feeling too well so Chris and I took a ride on the one attraction Madison dislikes the most!

The wait was very quick so it wasn't long before we were in a boat and singing along!!

I always take so many pictures on this ride! As many as I just posted...well, that's only a third of the ones taken!

Waiting to disembark, a few selfies:

Continued in the following post....

We met Madison at the Tinkle Tower area:

And decided we wanted to take a walk on the wild side and pick up a few Hitchhiking Ghosts!!

Keith called right when I took this picture! Weird the things you recall or what memories pictures will spark!

Keith was calling just to see what we were doing. I'm not sure he planned to go to the park...for those that don't recall or are new to my family, Keith really dislikes Magic Kingdom...and by really, I mean A LOT! One day I hope to make this conversion but for now I am just happy he wants to go to Disney, so I don't press too hard.

The wait was relatively short. It was still pretty early so the crowds hadn't began building just yet.

Madison still looks a little peaked! She's determined though!

And I took a picture from My Disney Experience...our Fastpasses for the day!!

We make it to the stretching room...

And soon we are loaded into our Doombuggy. I always try to get a few pictures but sometimes they aren't great and sometimes they are fine...this time, eh...

Madison begins feeling poorly again and this ride cannot get over fast enough. She unloads and takes off...we follow along...I grabbed one more pic for memory sake:

And wind up here:

I couldn't locate Madison so we hang around outside and wait...

Continued in the following post...

Madison finally returns feeling slightly better so we decide to go for an attraction we've yet to experience:

But before we get to the entrance good, Madison begins feeling poorly again. Now, we know what is going on and why she isn't feeling well. It is nothing contagious and she refuses to go back to the room. We keep thinking it will pass. I'm not a bad mom...I promise! :scared: While waiting on Maddie to feel better again, Keith calls. I am standing at the little store across from the Treehouse just outside. He is watching football and the conversation goes something like this"

Me: "So when will you head this way? Lunch is at 1 pm"
Keith: "I was thinking I'd just watch some football."
Me: "Seriously?!?!"
Keith: "Yes, I think I'll just hang out in the room."
Me: "I did not spend this much money and make plans for you to sit in the room! I could have saved money and watched football at home!!"

A lady was eavesdropping and busted out laughing...Keith was really on the bus headed to the Magic Kingdom. I knew this because although he was trying to trick me, I overheard the music playing on the bus! ;)

Now Madison is back with us and we head back to The Tiki Room...

See, she is looking better already!!

I took a few pictures while we waited for the show:

And another selfie...You know that new study saying people who take selfies have mental issues? Well, maybe...maybe not but had I NOT taken these selfies, there would have been NO pictures of me!! :lmao:

Finally we enter and see the singing, talking birds:

There's a volcano outside the window!!

We exit and Keith is waiting on us. We decide to try POTC but for a reason I no longer remember, we chose not too. It could have been the rumbly in Keith's tummy....

So we go in search of substance since lunch is just too far off for Keith to wait! And then I took this picture:

Do you ever take a picture and wonder why you did or what exactly was going on to prompt you to feel the need to take the picture? Well, that is what that picture is...I have no story for it! :rolleyes1

But I do know where we were headed and what we were going to get!!

The castle!!!

Remembering our earlier wonderful time here!!

Continued in the following post...

Keith wanted a cinnamon roll and I decided to get Foo's boo which really was incredible! (Yes, I did "steal" that BUT it is only because I now cannot think of LeFou's Brew without calling it Foo's boo! :lmao:)

But seriously, it really was very good and I greatly enjoyed it!!!

Then we went back towards POTC. I am thinking our FPP wasn't ready earlier and the wait was too long which made us find an alternative until the FPP time arrived. But along the way, we pass the castle which requires another photo!!

Waiting to board our boat...

And my only too remotely decent pictures from the ride:

So far, the morning hasn't been exactly picture perfect. A delayed arrival made me miss the Welcome Show and Madison not feeling well meant a lot of time was "wasted" that could have been better utilized on rides and attractions but that was no one's fault and no blame or animosity. Oh and anyone concerned about Madison, she was feeling much better by this time...still not 100% but she was getting there!!

And I will stop here because it is noon (this I know by what we do next) and I have an OBNOXIOUS amount of pictures!!! I mean, really obnoxious amount of pictures!!! :rolleyes1

Nice pics of Small World! It is a very photogenic ride!

I love that you called it the "Tinkle Tower" :rotfl2:

Men thinking football is more important :lmao:

LeFou's Brew is so good! I have to share it though it's a bit sweet for my taste!

Glad to hear Madison was feeling better! Hope she continues to improve!

I wonder what all of the pictures are of?!

I just can't do Small World. It's a classic so I wish I could... but I can't. Life's just too short, lol. Maybe if they added a drop or something... :scratchin

"Tinkle Tower"... I am totally stealing that!!!! :lmao:

I feel so bad for Madison. To feel blah in Disney just has to be the worst.

I have to give Tiki Room a whirl next trip. It's been WAY too long.

Bahahaha "Foo's Boo!" But yeah, it is SO GOOD!!!. Those cinnamon roll's ain't bad either.

That's such a bummer that Madison was feeling bad ... and I know I would have been thinking that time was being "wasted" too, but obviously nothing she could do.

"Tinkle Tower" ... hadn't heard that one before: Repunzel's Restrooms, Punzel's Potties, etc. I have, but not that one, pretty good! :thumbsup2

Poor Madison! Feeling sick is bad enough even at home but on vacation it's even suckier.

Oh my gosh, I have said it so many times before but Keith and John are two of a kind. He's perfectly happy just lazing around all day while I want to get some attractions on. It's funny that he tried to trick you into thinking that he was still in the room but was really on a bus. Silly men, don't they know that we will always catch on?

You know....they do serve adult beverages at Be Our Guest for dinner....I'm just saying that might be the carrot to lure Keith to Magic Kingdom! :rotfl2:

Great update and LOVE all the pics. I'm waiting for more!!!

Nice pics of Small World! It is a very photogenic ride!

Thanks! :goodvibes I love how colorful it is and tend to take so many pics no matter how many times I ride!

I love that you called it the "Tinkle Tower" :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2

Men thinking football is more important :lmao:

Some things I just don't get!! Although I do love football but we're at DISNEY!!

LeFou's Brew is so good! I have to share it though it's a bit sweet for my taste!

It is a bit sweet. Chris and I actually shared it. I don't think I could have had the whole thing myself!

Glad to hear Madison was feeling better! Hope she continues to improve!

I wonder what all of the pictures are of?!

I was glad too! I was actually beginning to get a little concerned! :guilty:

I just can't do Small World. It's a classic so I wish I could... but I can't. Life's just too short, lol. Maybe if they added a drop or something... :scratchin

Awe, come on! It is a classic!! We don't necessarily ride this every trip because that song tends to get stuck in my head!!

"Tinkle Tower"... I am totally stealing that!!!! :lmao:

:thumbsup2 Heehee!!

I feel so bad for Madison. To feel blah in Disney just has to be the worst.

It really is the worst! I have been there/done that too...it isn't fun!

I have to give Tiki Room a whirl next trip. It's been WAY too long.

I hope to get back there someday soon! I thought it was pretty cute.

Bahahaha "Foo's Boo!" But yeah, it is SO GOOD!!!. Those cinnamon roll's ain't bad either.

Love the cinnamon rolls! I just hate you have to go so far to get one now!

"Tinkle Tower" ... hadn't heard that one before: Repunzel's Restrooms, Punzel's Potties, etc. I have, but not that one, pretty good! :thumbsup2

I knew she couldn't help it but it was a downer. And i felt bad that she not only felt ill but frustrated that she couldn't enjoy her time. Punzel's Potties....:lmao: I haven't heard that one! pretty funny!

Poor Madison! Feeling sick is bad enough even at home but on vacation it's even suckier.

Yes, feeling sick is bad enough but when you're on vacation and want to have fun...much worse!!!

I seriously think we need to go and let John and Keith lazy around!! They are way too similar!! :rotfl: Keith is always trying to trick me...and it works sometimes. Madison has now "learned" this from him so I have double trouble!!

You know....they do serve adult beverages at Be Our Guest for dinner....I'm just saying that might be the carrot to lure Keith to Magic Kingdom! :rotfl2:

Great update and LOVE all the pics. I'm waiting for more!!!

I was one of the few that jumped for joy when they announced BOG would serve adult beverages! And the reason was becauseI knew we could finally eat a a MK restaurant...sad, huh?! :lmao: I actually had an ADR for BOG...but I'll get to that later!

Warning: This is ONE Massive Post!! ;)

They're Playing MY Song!!!

After leaving POTC, we made our way into a very crowded Frontierland. The crowds were beginning to build quickly!! One reason for the massive crowds in Frontierland was the parade that was soon to begin!!!! I had seen the Christmas parade at MVMCP last year and really wanted Madison to see this parade. Since the regular 3 pm parade never changes (well in the past! ;)) we had seen it a few times but usually just skipped it since we had "been there, done that"! But THIS parade is different!! Keith and Chris are not big parade fans so we find a spot that suits all four of us.

We find a spot on the river side with this view:

It was a fairly decent spot and especially considering we got there shortly before the start of the parade and had not staked out a spot! Soon the parade began!!

And now the obnoxious amount of pictures begins!

Pluto was extremely playful!

I also really loved Mary Poppins!!

Mickey and Minnie!!

Donald and Daisy (my faves!!!)

The Seven Dwarfs!!!

And the Princesses begin arriving!!!

Continued in the following post...

And then for me,the real fun begins!!! And at some point they start playing "my" song!! The song that this TR's title comes from "It's a Marshmallow World"!!!!!!

Woody...my man!!!! :goodvibes

Toy Soldiers!!

And then the reindeer followed by a well rested Santa after his busy night a few nights earlier!!!

And then the grand finale!!

We then take a few steps back to Keith and Chris' perch:

Continued in the following post...

We were next to the wooden pathway across from Tom Sawyer's Island. We decided to let the crowd disburse and wait in our little spot. There was a tree with berries so I occupied my time by taking pictures:

Chris and Madison occupied their time doing what teens do best:

We had a lunch reservation to make so we decided we had to fight the masses...and there were masses!!!!

I do not handle crowds well, so I was extremely happy when we were finally out of this madness!!!

And soon our destination was in sight!!!

Be Our Guest, Be Our Guest...

I had an ADR made for an evening meal but when I managed to snag a lunch FPP time, I cancelled the ADR. I was overbooked on ADR credits so using a counter service credit made more sense. My main goal was just getting inside and eating a meal here. I could careless if it were lunch or dinner!!

I have a few pics but not as many as would like...mainly because my bah-humbug hubby was along!! :rotfl:

We get to the entrance and run into a bit of confusion:

The details were amazing!! I really loved everything about the castle!!

I had pre-ordered but Keith and Chris wanted to change their orders. So when we were checked in, we were instructed to ask for Kevin and tell him we needed to make adjustments. When we saw Kevin, he had NO CLUE what we were talking about. So he sent us to the kiosks to try and make the changes.

Then he and a lady discussed some things and took us back to the FPP desk.

Then they discussed some more and thought maybe we should go back to the kiosks....uhm....never mind, we can eat whatever you bring us!!! So we get our ticket and go in to find a table.

We wander a bit and Keith declares this room too dark!!

So, we found a nice little table next to this Beauty:

Looking around from my seat:

I got to eat lunch with My Beauty:

And My Beast :lmao::

We enjoyed looking at the art work throughout the room:

And before we knew it, our food was brought out in a cart!
