Yes hockey fans, the hockey Gods have done good and made sure the despicable Habs will not be playing anymore hockey this year!:cool1: ;)
To make things even sweeter, they made sure it was their own beloved Maple Leafs that sent them golfing.
Here's hoping the Islanders lose today, but even if they win, I will sleep well knowing that Gods team lasted longer than the wretched Habs.

GO Leafs GO!!

P.S. Happy Easter everyone:goodvibes

:cool1: We were watching the game last night.:happytv: I am a Toronto fan and my DH is a Montreal fan. Good thing we have a sense of humour. It was pretty entertaining last night!:rotfl2:

Yep and the Isles are going to deliver the same fate to the Laffs.

I heard that one time this season, the leafs sent a spy to check the habs during their practice. The spy saw the the habs players where skating around orange cones. The leafs tried it... The cones won 5 to 2.....:rotfl2:

Go habs Go.... (well next years at least...)

Kazzy:hippie:

Oh well. Maybe next year.

Leafs need to get their act together a little earlier.

Yep the hockey gods know how it works the Isles eliminate the Laffs with a win over NJ LOL LOL LOL.....

waaa, no cup for the leafs for the last 40 years....waaaa
Yes the Leafs may have missed the playoff's, but I was very happy when they eliminated Montreal on Satuday. Plus Montreal had two chances to get in and blew them both. 1st was on Tursday when they lost to the Rangers and would have eliminated us since we lost to the Islanders. Finally their 2nd chances was on Saturday when they blew that 5-3 lead and had lost only their 2nd game of the season when leading after 2 periods.

Ya we blew it but the Laffs are still the bigger losers yep losers since 67 baby But yes teh Leafs handed us the same fate we handed them last season but still the Leafs are cupless in what forever I guess the chants of next year next year will start again now for the Laffers fans LOL.

Your wrong about 1 thing. Yes it's true with those 2 wins in a row that Montreal put on the Leafs did ruin any chance we had at the playoff's in 2006. However it did not officially eliminate us from playoff contenion, so you can not say you cost us the playoff's that year. It was Tampa who eliminated the Leafs with an overtime win against Carolina. However since we officially eliminated you from this years playoff's, that is something we can put over your heads from now on.

ugh, both teams have miserable seasons, miss the playoffs and we can still argue about which team lost more gracefully!:rotfl:

True hockey fans!

well, always next year.....

go.........bluejays?

Actually if you look at the season last year it was the 2 losses to the HABS that killed your playoff bid last season had you won one of those 2 games we would have been out and you would have been in well in a tie for the 8th spot anyhow. Even all the analysts say it was the HABS that killed the Laffers last season with the 5-2 and 6-1 back to back wins. I will say this though I have no idea what Carbo was doing starting Huet on Saturday he should have ridden Halak like a horse he had carried us that far and he chose to go with Huet bad move in my opinion.

Blue Jays yuck LOL this is Canada we have to argue hockey especially with HABS and Laffer fans it's what keeps us going till October when the puck drops on another season. I hope Gainey makes some huge moves this summer like dumping Saku and Kovalev and not re signing Shelly the non defender and letting Begin and Boulllion walk and trying to get rid of the deadweight that Samsonov is.

I realize the two losses the Leafs had in Montreal is what did them in for missing the playoff's in 2006, however they were not offically out of it and almost made it in missing 8th place by 2 points. The point I am trying to make is Montreal did not eliminate the Leafs from playoff contention, they just made it a lot harder for the Leafs to make it that year. However this year the Leafs officially eliminated Montreal from making the 2007 playoff's which is something I can feel happy about. :cool1: :thumbsup2

Before saying go Blue Jays, I have to say Go Raptors. At least Toronto has 1 team in the playoff's in a major sport and I think the Raptors have the team to go all the way in the Eastern Conference.

Well I guess you have to as a Laff fan try and take solice away from an otherwise dismal 40 year run in which you have had no cup final apperances and no cups in which to celebrate LOL. As for the Raptors and the Jays blech to both mind you I hate baseball and basketball. MLB has to be the most boring sport on earth and the players don't even get me started oh coach I have a blister on my hand I need to go on the DL I can't throw the ball LOL what a bunch of pansies they are.

And today is an even better day!!!! No Leafs, no Habs!!:lmao:

Go Flames!!!

Well it was a long hard night and I have finally stopped sobbing enough to be able to throw my support behind the Flames or Canucks.
As for the Sens, it will be a cold day in he** before I support the 2nd most hated team in the NHL. Go Pens there!

P.S. F4 DisneyFan - Do you live in T.O.? You hate the Leafs, Jays and Raptors - Must be tough for you to be a sports fan in this town!

I hate all basetball and baseball teams I am not a fan of either sport for me it is Hockey and that is it. Now the HABS are out my allegiance fals to teh Canadian national U18 team the CDN womend and mens teams for their world championship bids after that is done I have a long drawn out wait till October and we have the start of teh best sport in the world again.

F4DisneyFan if you are from London then you still have lots of hockey to look forward to! Forget the NHL... GO KNIGHTS GO!!!!!!
