It's a "Fried Cherrios" night ..

pumba - that sounds a lot like what my dad used to make, we called it fried dough. We would then dip the dough in sugar after they were fried.

We had some friends of the family that had a lot of kida and not a lot of money. When we went there we used to eat sugar toast. Toast butter and sugar.

My father sliced bananas in half length wise and fried them in a little butter. They were good because my father made them for me! I never got a chance to tell him that I really don't like bananas. I will try the Cheerios they sound really good.

But chocolate covered glazed Krispy Kreemes sound better!

Add a little brown sugar to those bananas and butter, plus a splash of rum and you have - Ta Da - Bananas Foster. Pour it over ice cream. Yum.

Byrd, I've never had a Krispy Kreme. I don't think we have them in the North East. I hear they are great though. I've seen the plant on the Travel Channel. Your banana story is too funny. It reminds me of when I was little, my Pepere (French for Grandfather) used to take me to mass with him every Sunday and afterwards would take me to the soda fountain for a root beer float. I HATE root beer, always have, always will. But Pepere was so happy to buy a root beer float for his little girl, I could never tell him. :D
