Yes, you do need to run the latest firmware (3.1) for both the Touch and the iPhone. For iPhone users this is a free firmware upgrade, Touch users it's $4.95. This is an Apple requirement, so don't get mad at us! We also state 3.1 is need both in iTunes and on our website.

Besides, you really want the want the 3.1 Apple firmware anyway.

You have to be in a WIFI area to use it.

I got one for Christmas too, but I also am having trouble finding the DVC and DIS apps on the I-tunes site.

I just typed in "DVC" in the Itunes search window and the apps came up - have you tried that?

Yes, I should have been more aware of what version my iTouch has, so no one's fault but my own. I didn't mean to imply it was anyone elses - I'm sorry if that's the impression I gave.

Yep! As Apple updates the ability of their mobile devices, developers integrate those features into their apps. Eventually old vs new get so far apart that things stop working. In this case 3.1 significantly upgraded the Apple/Google maps and since that is a major part of eTicket...3.1 is what everyone is going to need.
