what is the difference between the itouch and iphone... besides the phone part obviously!!

I think with the iphone you can be online anytime. With the itouch, you have to be somewhere that has wifi. Not sure, but that's my opinion!

Iphone has a camera, Ipod touch doesn't. You pay an extra $30 a month on your ATT bill for the ipod 3g internet access. You have to be in a wifi zone to get internet on the Ipod touch.

Not to hijack, but I just ordered an itouch for my son to watch movies on the plane. Now I'm wondering if you can download the WDW apps for the itouch? I have seen the iphone peeps talking about them.

I have the itouch. I used the dining app at Disney, but the times guide one was useless to me because you have to be online to update it daily.

There's a bunch of different cool apps for the iphone or ipod touch. One in particular tells you the wait times for every attraction in the magic kingdom. But you have to have an internet connection for that and seeing as there's no wifi in the MK then it seems kind of pointless to get it.

But there still are a schlew of great apps out there for Pixie Hollow, Up, POTC etc.

There is no monthly Internet plan available with the iTouch. You have to use your own WiFi connection or somebody else's WiFi connection to be able to access the Internet at all. So, you can use it to access the Internet at home if you have a WiFi network or you can use it at a Starbuck's or a hotel with WiFi (hotels and other places may charge for access), but you can't use it in a WDW park or driving down the road or anyplace where there is no WiFi connection to which you have access.

The older iPhone 3G is $99 and the most expensive 3GS is just $299 if you enter into a new, two-year AT&T cell phone service contract or are an existing AT&T customer that is eligible for an upgrade. The higher prices are for current AT&T customers who aren't eligible to upgrade or for people buying it without a cell phone contract, for whatever reason.

The cell contract includes a mandatory $30 monthly data plan. There are a wide variety of voice and text message plans available. There also is a one-time activation fee of $36.

Hiya. Don't mean to hijack this thread, but didn't want to start a new thread on this...
In order to play music do you have to buy from the itunes store or is there anyway to add your own that you already have?
How expensive is it to buy a song? Or a movie, or tv show?
What comes with the itouch?

You have to have itunes, but you can import your own music into it to load onto your ipod. You don't have to purchase any music through itunes.

The ipod Touch comes with a cord to connect to the computer (to charge it with as well as to tranfer data with) as well as earbuds.

The last TV show I bought was $1.99, and most songs are around $.99. Prices have changed recently though, and I think some songs are more than that now.

There are also lots of free podcasts you can download, and many DVDs now come with a free "Digital Copy" you can put on your ipod.
