Here's what is I have as of right now....
6/23 arrival day, only thing sort of planned is the campfire, we have DDP credits to use this day and no plan for using them
6/24 MK, CRT ( I think I am keeping this day)
6/25 Epcot, CR ( I think I am keeping this day)
6/26 AK, Ohana ( I am in love with this day, hopefully all goes as planned. AK til 8, Ohana at 9:20, with any luck, Wishes at 10:goodvibes )
6/27 this was our TL day for the morning with MGM after 6:10 at Chef Mickeys
6/28 this was very temporarily our off site day. I think I have talked DH out of that but now I'm not sure what to do with the day
6/29 I was thinking this could be our day to do the rest of MGM and then the plan was to park hop to get rides we missed
6/30 departure day, probably early
Things were changed when I talked DH out of leaving Disney property and changed even more when we dropped hoppers in exchange for water parks. Should I move the rest of MGM to the 28th and then hit DTD afterwards? Then use 6/29 for the park we missed the most or whatever? I feel like we are not going to have enough time....

We tend to plan a total of 2 days at MK, 2 at EP, 1 at MGM, & 1 at AK. Our last day is left open for: returning to a park we'd like to see again, water park or resort day (whether hopping to see resorts or relaxing at our own).

Sorry, I just realized I counted your departure day as an 8th day. My opinion though is that your TL/MGM day... not sure how long you're staying at TL, but, I wouldn't think you'd get to do much of MGM if you have to leave the park in time to make Chef Mickey's. We are planning to do CM on a MK night so that all it will take is a short monorail ride and less travel time wasted.

So, you're adding the water parks option for $50 more and only using it ONCE? That's not a good value, IMO. It's better to pay the daily rate for the water park or skip it altogether and just hang out at your pool. Even the 10-year old will like the resort pool and the 5-year old won't really care one way or another.

You have 6 whole days, one half day (your first one) and your last day is spent traveling. I would plan on 2 MK days, 1 Epcot day, 1 MGM day and 1 AK day. I would leave the last day open to revisit your favorite of the last 3.

I would also plan on doing Wishes from inside the MK and not from O'hana. It's OK from there, but soooo much better from inside the park. I also think that you'll want to reduce the amount of running around: TL to MGM to Chef Micky's is a long haul! If you still choose to do TL you will be exhausted by the sun and the water. MGM will not happen and Chef Mickey's is doubtful.

BTW, I would scratch the campfire (it's a PITA to get to) and book Chef Mickey's *or* 'Ohana for your first night. Refresh in the pool and go have a great dinner. Get a lot of sleep and be ready for your first whole day.

Yep. 6-27 is the day I would change plans, too. I'd keep TL, but cancel Chef Mickey's and head for DTD that evening instead. I'd plan for dinner at DTD or your home resort. Or you could go 'resort hopping' that evening, or visit the Boardwalk area and eat somewhere over there.

It's not going to be easy to do a water park during the day, then go back to your resort to shower and change clothes, then head to MGM for a few hours, then rush to the CR for dinner at Chef Mickey's--just an awful lot of unnecessary running around and a lot of time wasted on travel while criss-crossing the WDW property.

I'd move your MGM day to one of the 'open' days--probably 6-28. Then use 6-29 as your day to revisit the park you enjoyed most (or where you haven't yet seen everything that you wanted to).

I also agree that the 'WP & More' option is not a good deal if you are only planning to visit a WP once. It would be less expensive to have base tickets for the parks, and just pay OOP for a single WP admission. The WP & More option is only a good deal if you are going to go to the WP's more than once, or will use up the other plusses for DQ &/or PI admissions.

I am going back and forth with the water park thing. I do realize that it is cheaper to get one day tickets than the add on but I am still hoping that I can work something out last minute to get a sitter for the kids while DH and I check out PI. Even without that, there is a chance that we will hit the water parks more than once, or at least the boys might. DHs driving plan for the trip down is supposedly going to have us both arriving somewhat rested so we'll see how that works out. I had kind of thought of hitting a water park on our arrival day if we aren't too exhausted.
Our plans for the 27th were to hit TL at opening. DH and I doubt that we will stay too much past lunch. Then return to ASMo to rest and then head to CM. We wouldn't be heading to MGM until after CM. They have an EMH that night but we still aren't expecting to do more than a handful of rides that night (ToT during Fantasmic is the big plan. Neither of the kids wants to see Fantasmic again). Would it make sense to do this or hit MGM at opening the next day? (DH wants to sleep in this trip so that might be a problem)
We are watching Wishes from inside the MK on our first park day. The kids made a request to see fireworks every night though so if it works out that we see them while at Ohana, that would just be too awesome.
We will have our own car so I'm not sure if that will make a difference in travel times. Would the campfire be difficult even if we drove to FW?
Last trip we did one whole MK day and went back again on our last day after we ran over to Epcot to do Soarin'. We did one whole MGM day and one whole AK day. Epcot we did an after a flat tire at lunch time until torrential downpour at 7pm day and missed 90% of World Showcase. Although AK was everyones favorite park, I am assuming that will still be a one day park, as well as MGM. I'm going to look at my itinerary again compared to EMHs and such. I still need to add one more TS in there somewhere too. And one more thing I did not consider before, the kids want to see fireworks every night and last trip we saw Wishes and Fantasmic but Illuminations got rained out. I guess I can't come up with a rain plan without hoppers though. If Illuminations doesn't happen on our Epcot day, it will be missed again.

Yes, the campfire is still a pain to get to even with a car.

I like your idea of going to a waterpark on your first (travel) day. The waterparks tend to clear out around 2:00 PM so you'll be able to get some good slides in before it closes. I would still think about a fun "welcome to WDW" dinner for that first day. 'Ohana, Chef Mickey's or Whispering Canyon would be lots of fun. If you'll have a day on your tickets for that day, then go into the MK for dinner at Crystal Palace or Epcot for the Coral Reef or the Garden Grill.

Having a car will help with your schedule. You'll be able to get around easier and quicker.

One thing I would recommend against is going to an Evening EHM. I found them to be totally useless with lines longer than they are during the day. I would especially recommend against going to an Evening EMH and then to a park when the gates open at 8:00 or 9:00 in the morning. You'll be burning the candles at both ends.
