Hello everyone!!! My type A personality has just about finished planning out our first of May trip!! I had a couple of questions and wanted to see if you who knew could give me some added insight so that I can wrap it up!

If you could choose between these two days only to see Universal & IOA..which one would you choose?

Monday -- Universal
Thursday -- IOA

or

Wed -- Universal
Thursday -- IOA

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Yes..we will get there before the park opens each day! Thanks!!!!!!!!

Take your itinerary. Make the last minute changes, and then, just rip it up. Have fun. Dont plan every minute. But heres a suggestion: Take Weds. Thursday.
Go to both parks, I'm assuming you have the 2 park passes. Start weds. at IOA. Do the big stuff first. Then head to USF. Do the smaller stuff first, and if you have time, the more popular stuff. Then, on thurs. do USF, and hit all the stuff you missed. Go over to IOA, and do the same. Or better yet, just make a list of everything you HAVE to see, and do it, then go to the other park and try the same. You'll have more fun, you'll see all the stuff and you will be relaxed! Again just a suggestion, and remember the nature of these parks are unpredictable, even if you plan, they may not go along with what you want to do.

i would take door # 1.......

monday: universal
thursday: ioa

i have always found ioa not crowded on mondays. i know you said universal for monday so i figure the same for that one also.

many people start their vacations and travel in on a saturday and leave on a sunday. that is why i aim for ioa on mondays. lower crowds.

the other reason i chose m and th......since you are a newbie for US, you might anticipate returning with greater excitment since you will have a two day period away from US. you start on monday and do all the highlights and leave when the park closes. you have 2 days to wait until you return. on thursday, you do repeats and rides you missed the first time.

you will realize that 2 days is not enough for the parks.

don't question my logic on this one, i'm blonde and this is how i think

Well...honestly I have 7 day passes. I just have other things planned ...like you all said, that can change!!!! LOL

So..is it possible to hit both parks on one day??? IOA first and then over to Universal???

It is very possilbe to do the 2 parks in one day ,I with my dw and 2 children
do it but we've been many times and staying onsite will speed things up
if you havent been to universal there is so much to see and do,
for 1st timers I would recomend 3 days to enjoy all that they have to offer.

anyway we go to uso first, be there when they open(sometimes they open early) stay and play untill lunch time leave goto ioa ride the favorites and
around 5:00 decide what to reride at both parks. it only takes about 10 mins. to walk from ioa to uso. most important is to have fun at your own pace.
