Itinerary question - how would you do this?

Here's a (for fun) challenge for you that love to plan. Come up with a daily itinerary for a summer-time (mid-June) trip. Here are the parameters:

-10 days available: 5 day park hoppers, 1 day at Sea World, 1 day at Discovery Cove and 1 day at Lego Land. The other two full rest days.
- MK/AK/HS are a priority. Only need a few day time hours at EP for a few rides. 1.5 days at each of the other parks would be great. Star Wars fireworks, Wishes, FoF and one evening at AK are must-dos.
- DH is not a fan of RD. So, want the days split between RD and afternoon arrivals. Maximizing rest time is a priority for us. Any late nights at a park, must be followed by either a full rest day, or a day where we're not entering the parks till afternoon.
- Okay with 2 or 3 mornings/afternoon breaks/evenings, but would prefer to 9-4 or say afternoon to close approach.

And go...!

Because I believe that AK will be the highest crowd level at night (due to new show), I would try to do that early or mid week. (Not a weekend night) I would plan my fp for EE, night time safari, and Kali. (Late afternoon arrival with Kali first). Plan an ADR for whatever restaurant is doing a dining plan for RoL. and work your FPs around your ADR and the evening show. I would definately plan for all the other new nightime entertainment on Discovery Island as well. That would make for a great afternoon/evening with park entrance anywhere from 3 -4 pm.

Will we be getting a commission? A great travel agent will do an amazing job fitting everything you want in if you go that route.. One of the best orlando travel agencies happens to run this forum and it won't cost you any more than booking everything direct (hint)..

Edited to add: Not trying to be offensive or anything but it sounds like your the perfect candidate for using a great travel agent that specializes in these places. I think you'll get the experience you want with a few minutes telling them what you need, they will get more information about you and then poof, they just keep updating you with how you saved some more money and had a great time..

We don't use travel agents. I'm perfectly content to come up with my own itinerary, just doing this for fun to see what others would do, and for ideas.

In that case.... (your post really didn't come across with it, it sounds like you decided everyone here should plan your trip for you).

I did a trip where I ventured off site. Weather got in the way and we didn't enjoy it as much as the destinations were not rain friendly (and we discovered just how rain friendly disney really is). Now we go more flexible in our plans really planning out a couple specific disney days for our must dos and don't want to miss ADRs and the rest of the week is very flexible with our best guess of what would be the ideal days to not need fastpasses. We try to get off site early on so if weather is a problem when we wake up, we just shift to the more weather friendly offsite or push it later with another disney day sooner...

Your going to need to decide if it fits your family well to change resorts since you look like you have 3 days elsewhere and you might get some better overall cost if you did switch to non-disney resorts for a couple nights (even if you return to disney at the end).

OP - your trip is for June 2017, right? I think a lot of what you're looking for will be difficult to plan right now. I think you'll have a lot better of an idea on how to spread out your days once ROL and the new Frozen stuff at Epcot opens and there's some time for those new things to settle in a bit. All of those things will probably significantly change park touring in those parks, and that's going to be hard to gauge before opening.

Disney trips can be overwhelming, so maybe something to think about would be mixing in your offsite days with your Disney days. For example, a day at MK, then a day at Sea World, then a day at Epcot. It might help keep the overwhelming-ness of Disney at bay a bit. Since Legoland is a bit further of a drive, though, I would put that somewhere in the middle of your trip - not too close to your arrival, and not too close to departure - if you can. HTH!

How far is Lego Land? We're staying in Glenbrook. (About 8 miles from Disney, Clermont direction). I'm still hoping we can ditch LL, but my son really has his heart set on it.

The only thing I would say is that we'd try to plan at least (1) EMH morning at each park and we wouldn't do any late EMH. We'd substitute a water park, probably Typhoon Lagoon and Harry Potter Land for two of your other non-Disney activities. But that's just us.

Since you aren't staying on site anyway, I'd add a day (or evening) at Old Town in!!! We had soooo much fun there! When you ask my son what his favorite ride at Disney was- he says "The Slingshot", which obviously isn't even at WDW lol

according to Google maps, it's 37 miles from WDW, which it says is a 51 min drive.

We didn't do the portraits, but there was several super cool motorcycles there, my son wanted to pose in front of every one and the owner of a bike asked if he could pose with him...it was too cute and my son was thrilled!

From Glenbrook to Legoland is a very easy drive. Just be mindful of the speed limits and traffic lights. If your son is under 10 and a big Lego fan, take him It's a cute park and seldom very crowded so you can get a lot if not all done in about six hours. Many locals with elementary age kids have given up their (ridiculously expensive) Disney and Universal AP's in exchange for Legoland. It's very family oriented and manageable.

First thing that jumps out: do you HAVE to do lego land? I thought Discovery cove came with 2 weeks admission to sea world, aquatic and busch gardens. I would do the day at Aquatica instead of lego land just to save the money.
