Hello!

So i've read a lot of threads and thanks to your help, have come up with two possible itineraries.

But I can't decide between the two. Here is my favourite (if i can do it)

Option 1:

Sun Sept 30 -- Arrival morning / Hollywood Studios rest of day
Mon Oct 01 -- Epcot all day
Tues Oct 02 -- Magic Kingdom all day and Micky's Halloween at night
Wed Oct 03 -- Universal Studios all day and Halloween Haunt at night
Thu Oct 04 -- Animal Kingdom all day
Fri Oct 05 -- REST DAY ! Either water park or disney springs morning and Hollywood Studios evening
Sat Oct 06 -- Magic Kingdom all day
Sun Oct 07 -- Morning Animal Kingdom / evening flight home

Why I like this plan - hit all the big parks on less busy times of the week
- should be able to get fastpass for FOP and Slink Dog.

Why I don't like it - have two really LONG days back to back (halloween parties)

Option 2:

Sun Sept 30 -- Arrival morning / Hollywood Studios rest of day
Mon Oct 01 -- Epcot all day
Tues Oct 02 -- Magic Kingdom all day and Micky's Halloween at night
Wed Oct 03 --REST DAY ! Either water park or disney springs morning and HS evening
Thu Oct 04 -- Universal Studios all day and Halloween Haunt at night
Fri Oct 05 -- Animal Kingdom all day

Sat Oct 06 -- Magic Kingdom all day
Sun Oct 07 -- Morning Animal Kingdom / evening flight home

I only want to change those 3 days.

Why I like this plan - I get my rest day between 2 LONG days.

Why I'm hesitant to change - Animal Kingdom moves to a friday of a long week-end. Super busy?
- with HS now at arrival +3 i may not get Slinky dog fastpass

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK!? THANKS !!!!!!

I would do option 2. You will get a chance to ride SDD at nite if you want as wait times seem to be less close to park closing

I would go with the 2nd plan, mainly to separate the two long days. And with fast pass, you should get slinky dog because you are there all night anyway and can get a late pass. It sounds like a great plan!! Have fun

Thanks! And I want to pick option 2 ... BUT

i'm really worried about Animal Kingdom being super busy on the Friday of Columbus Day week-end.

Touring Plans predicts the crowd level to be a 7 at Animal Kingdom on the Friday and only a 2 on the Thursday.

Kids? Or adult/s only?

Neither of your options include FPS for Wed, so you don’t need to worry about that.
Do you need to pre buy the Universal Halloween ticket?
Otherwise, you could make AK FPS for both Thursday and Friday and decide based on weather and fatigue levels.

If it's adults only - I'd say stick with option 1 - yes, you'll have 2 long days in a row but you'll appreciate the down day after. What better reason for a down day and if you prefer that itinerary then go for it.

If your party includes kids under 12 - then I'd go with Option 2 - they'll need a break. By the time the 2nd party comes around if kids don't have a break, I think there'd be lots of crankiness.

THANKS!!

It's adults only.

I guess what it really comes down to is how big a deal breaker it is to do Animal Kingdom on that friday where the predicted crowd level is a 7 as opposed to the Thursday of a predicted crowd level of 2? It sounds like a big difference to me. Any crowd experts out there? lol

A 2 crowd is great and I would normally prefer that. But a 7 is very manageable. We were at AK yesterday and was a 7. Had no trouble getting around or eating. And there were tons of additional desirable FP+ options throughout the day. Unless you commonly do a lot of 20,000 step days, having multiple back to back might be a challenge. I would opt for plan 2.

And also, getting flight of passage is important for FP+. Slinky Dog not as much. We rode it two nights ago at 10pm with a 35 minute wait.

Just FYI; crowd calendars are notoriously wrong. I can't "buy" a 2 level crowd at AK at that time of year unless there's a threat to the economy I'm not aware of. lol I wouldn't let the crowd prediction change your mind, I think you should just focus on when you want your break.

But Columbus Day crowds are really heavy. You will definitely see a difference. If it were me, I would go with option 1, but make FPS fro Friday just in case.

I agree !!! My Spider sense tells me not to roll the dice with those Columbus Day week-end crowds.

But !! I also agree i need to break up those Halloween parties.

So what I will do is swap my Universal and Animal Kingdom days to break up the parties and avoid a first park visit during Columbus day week-end.

Of course the downfall of that is i probably won't get a FOP Fastpass on the Wednesday .

Thanks all !!!

How many park entry days do you have? And do you have hoppers? Book FoP for Friday, go to a water park, eat at Boma or Sanaa and have a low stress day. Then is you want HS in the evening great. Otherwise, enjoy!

What about doing AK on the Wed between the parties? You will still get to bed at a reasonable hour for the next day party. ANd you can keep your rest day on Friday

I’m not much of an itinerary girl so I can’t assist in choosing one plan over the other but I would like to point out your Saturday at MK will be super crowded. The combination of the long weekend and a non-party day = loads of people in that park.

Just something to consider.
Happy planning.

Ya, plan 2. Your rest day should come sooner than Friday after going all week including Sunday. Your feet will thank you

I assume you don't care about Toy Story Land if you aren't spending a morning at Hollywood Studios.

Of course I care.

I want to ride slinky dog at night and i SHOULD be able to grab a fastpass at the 60 day mark for it on arrival +5

Toy story mania is currently showing day of Fastpass availability so i should be able to get one on arrival night at the 60 day mark.

At least that's the plan !! lol First timer so what do I know? Fingers crossed though! :)
