Hi all!

I will be attending a conference for a week at the Anaheim convention center this November. It ends that Friday (weekend before Thanksgiving). I will be taking the following Mon-Wed off work and so I thought I would make some fun plans.

I thought I would stay on in Anaheim for 1 or 2 days in the parks and then fly on to Honolulu until Thursday or Friday.

I'm not sure if it's doable to visit both parks with LLMP in 1 day? I have been to DL (multi day) once before and WDW 3x before. However, this time no kids in tow and I will be solo.

I like the thrill rides as priority but love all the other experiences as well. I can be quick on my feet when I'm by myself (British museum in a few hours lol!).

Is visiting both parks in 1 day even possible? Has anyone here done this?

I'm using points for my HNL stay and was thinking of booking the Best Western Anaheim on Harbour blvd.

Appreciate your thoughts!

How long ago was your previous DL visit? If the parks haven't changed much since then, you have a good idea of what activities are important to you. If it's just a few things in each park, then sure, you could do them in one (rushed) day with a park hopper ticket. Certainly two days (maybe one park per day) would be better.

Certainly you can visit both parks in one day. The question is, what do you want to accomplish in that time? You won't be able to do everything.

The last visit was in 2019 (so 7 years ago) - we had a 4 day ticket. Yes we were on property so I think we had some perks but this time I won't have that. I guess if I really preplan I could make 1 day for both parks work. I think I'm leaning toward what you suggest, 1 park per day for 2 days.

You're right. Won't be able to do everything, don't want to - I would be down for a week if I did that lol! I was hoping if I get the LL that will speed up some lines for me in both parks. I found a list of all the LL rides in both parks, maybe I should study that and make a plan of what I want to visit.

Do you know, since I'm looking so far in advance, is there a chance they shut down a park for private events without much notice? That would be a bummer if I wanted to visit 2 parks in 1 day and come to find out one isn't open in the evening (since I have to reserve a park timeslot ahead of time).

Not the week before Thanksgiving. There are some private holiday parties in DCA but they are usually after the park closes.

Look at LL and look at SR attractions. Some SR lines are more efficient than others. What do you want to do other than the rides? Any special food? The Christmas Fantasy Parade? Evening entertainment (Fantasmic, fireworks, World of Color, Fire of the Rising Moon)?
