Items while in Pool

So what do you do with your stuff while you go into the pool or lazy river?

I usually leave my bag, shoes, cover up at the chair-- I am aware that this is not a best practice. I do "feel" better at Disney properties or better properties in general. Although, I am particular about where and when. A lot of this is circumstantial for me. I have started to carry a waterproof wallet that hooks around my waist and lies flat. I actually used this in the Bahamas a few weeks ago.

Waterproof Belt Bag - it is waterproof and easy to get in and out of. Got my husband one too and he actually wore it and was able to put it to the inside of his swim shorts. He said it wasn't sticky or hot, as it is plastic.

I have a waterproof lanyard for my phone. And for other stuff I have a beach safe which I secure to the lounger. Mind you I don’t leave my lounger for more than an hour at a time. So I don’t get into trouble with the towel folders.

We took a beach bag with sunscreen, waters, snacks, etc and left that at the chair. My phone and room key were in a waterproof pouch around my neck. Only issue we had our entire stay was a group "taking over" our chair thinking it was their parties belongings, and a pair of flip flops getting left at a chair (and then disappearing because their lost and found process is garbage).

+1 for this. We kept most belongings on a lounger but took waterproof bags for our phones/wallets.

We have a small one that can be worn like a lanyard and a larger one that can be worn around the waist.

We usually take a backpack and cram our stuff in it. We have yet to not feel safe at Aulani (knock on wood). Also we dont carry much with us besides our room card, phone and sunscreen. And of course towels.

We always have at least one bag - usually more - and just put our stuff in there and leave it on the chairs. Never had any concerns at Aulani. I never take any cash down to the water, and my phone is locked (and crappy) so why would anyone want that.

We were lucky our magic bands work so we didn’t carry much. We don’t even waste time looking for chairs anymore. We just leave our shoes in the cubbies by either the lazy river or infinity pool. We are not hangout in the pool chair people. We are more of go to the pool and head back to the room people. Partly cause finding a chair near the pool is so difficult. So the cubbies are very useful and I never seen them full.
