we are going 5/16- 5/22. Staying at FW cabins. 2 adults 4 kids under 10. What should we not forget that we might not think about.

You'll love the cabins!

Don't have help on what to bring, but if $$$ permits, do a town car from the airport and have a grocery stop. load up on food so you can eat 1 or even 2 meals a day in the cabin. The towncar shouldn't be that much more than transfers, and the $$$ you save eating at "home" will save you even more $$$ in the end.

If you all can't fit into a town car, check into renting a car for your trip and stoping on the way for food. Also, you can use the car to drive around Ft. Wilderness, saving time and hassle with the loop buses, and also you can drive to the parks, giving you a quick get away instead of waiting for busses/boats.

Drivers license! Can't board plane without it.

I thought you couldn't drive your car around Ft Wilderness? Or at least aren't supposed to? That's why they rent the golf carts that are waaay too expensive for me!

These are my top 5 not to forget items:

1. Comfortable Shoes (More than one pair) for you and the kids.

2. Sun Screen

3. Mist Fan from Home. (The ones they sell at the parks are very expensive) - Only in the summer.

4. Camera and extra film

5. Water proof neck credit card holder. (They come in key sizes too. I have a credit card size one, perfect for putting some money, and your room key in when going to the pool. Like the top two items on this page http://www.poolcenter.com/beach_toys_and_beach_games.htm )

Moleskin (just in case) your feet will thank you!

any over the counter meds you might need. they are quite expensive at disney .

stock up on condiments from drive thru's and fast food places before your trip, will save you from buying ketchup, mustard, jelly, mayo, sugar, pepper, salt, and the like for your meals in the cabin.
Always ask for extras at restuarants.;)

hats, pony tail holders, sun tan lotion, lip balm ( your lips can get chapped by sun)

Have a great time!!:D

Sunblock, Bandaids, Tylenol (or whatever cold medicine you use for the kids and headache medicine for the adults), Tums

Also, if you like to chew gum, bring it with you. Couldn't find any at the Orlando airport or anywhere in WDW.

to pack underwear... :earseek:

A short story... on my first trip to WDW with my DW, (who was my girlfriend at the time; we got engaged on the trip), I discovered upon our arrival that I had forgotten to pack that one essential. We had to drive around looking for a store where I could buy some.

Of course, to this day (over 12 years later) I am still reminded to pack underwear whenever we go away. :o

sunglasses
oh-and one extra change of clothing-either you will get something on your clothes or your plane will be delayed and you'll be stuck at the airport

AA Batteries!! If you're kids are anything like mine, they have various devices to keep them entertained on plane/car rides, idle times in resort, etc.

I'll never forget once getting trapped in 3 hours traffic going through NYC and one of my son's gameboy ran out of batteries. Thank goodness, after searching we found some extras or he would have drove me nuts!

If you get a headache at the parks, you can ask at any store for Advil. It is a little packet with two Advil - for two bucks!!!

Bring Advil (or whatever you use) and some Imodiam (sp?) for any stomach trouble. I also make a little ziplock bag up, with Bacitracine wipes, bandaids, etc. And I also pack a travel pack of baby wipes (alas, no more babies in our family) in my backpack for clean-ups of all kinds.
